    Lakeway Resort and Spa

    Lakeway Resort and Spa

    Hotel Class:
    4.5
    8 reviews

Austin can be a bit overwhelming with its traffic, hustle and bustle. The resort washed all that away. The lake may be low due to drought, but it's still a beautiful sight from the newly-remodeled resort. Consider a lakeside king bed room with balcony to enjoy the view. The rooms are large and cozy, and the bathroom mirror is framed ...

    InterContinental Stephen F. Austin

    Hotel Class:

I'm in love with the location -- a rock toss from the Capitol, downtown nightclubs and on historic Congress Ave. But it can be rather expensive. It has a nice hotel bar with a short menu, and it's connected to the independent Roaring Fork, which draws rave reviews. The tiny lap pool isn't much for leisure swimmers, but it has ...

My favorite place to stay in Austin!!! Quirky and classy this boutique hotel encapsulates what is cool about Austin. The grounds are lovely and the bar lively. The location is excellent as well.

    W Austin Hotel

    Hotel Class:

The W is one of my favorite hotels as far as chains go. I was curious how they would style the Austin location. And it was nice the same W design with a little "keep Austin weird" flair.

The Four Seasons hospitality but, not quite up to the Four Seasons standard. While the lobby and restaurants are remodeled the rooms can dated and can use a redesign.

    Austin Motel

    4.5

The Austin Motel is a jumble of color with a kidney-shaped pool and plenty of little nooks to get lost in besides your room, which will be lovely. There may be no gentler entry into Austin's Congress Avenue scene than with plenty of time - maybe a long weekend? - booked into the Austin Motel. Guests can walk to tons ...

Wow big surprise! Clean, friendly, comfortable. We used priceline.com and the rate was $67.00 per night. I would say that the morning breakfast buffet is 1st class. Dinner and lunch is available but not as great as the breakfast buffet. It's within reach of UT @Austin for the college visit.

Large spacious rooms, plenty of space to work or set up a laptop, but also just a fun vacation spot. The pool (which is shallow) is open very late which is nice for relaxing. There is a large lobby with plenty of seating to have small meetings or to work. The entire hotel is stylized in a contemporary fashion and ...

North Austin is full of business-friendly hotels, but Towneplace Suites is a unique personalized option for travelers who like to feel more at home when they're on the road. This is a really beautiful and uniquely designed hotel. The hotel scream Texas and University of Texas in a very elegant and sophisticated way. The lobby and shared space areas are designed with handmade wood tables, crafted lounge chairs and sofas. The hotel rooms are strongly influenced with UT colors of burnt orange and dark finishes. The location was a bit inconvenient to downtown, but the hotel was nice with a great pool area and stiff drinks at the bar. Food options were a bit difficult to locate probably due mostly to the odd freeway system in Austin.

This is in an excellent location with downtown just up the road and getting to the airport is a breeze. It has all the comforts of home -- or at least most of them -- to make a long-term stay a little more relaxed.
