    We took our dog hiking here and had a great time. There were A LOT of burrs on the ground and we ended up having carry her for much of it but she did get to swim at least. The lake was nice and it was about 90 so it was much needed.

    BBQ ground zero. If you are an American Foodie this is a stop on the 50 state tour. Conveniently located just outside of Austin and San Antonio. Easy drive from either direction. Just make sure you get there before the 'cue runs out!     Cool place to grab a bite to eat. There was live country music, fresh food, and fun brew pub split into a more dance hall/billiard/ patio/ beer garden in the front.

    Luling is a little town of a little over five thousand people that was founded in 1874. It was built around a railroad, and those trains were used to transport cattle. In 1920 Edgar Davis put the town on the map when he discovered oil in Luling.
