    Whole Foods Market - Lamar

Solid as a rock! Thank you Whole Foods for all you've added to my cooking misadventures. While yes, I'd love to only buy local and from farmer's markets but sometimes I need a monster, giant of a reliable grocery store. This place is a wonderful, happy medium embodying both what a farmer's market can offer you with a huge array ...

    Home Slice Pizza

    53 reviews

There's more and more high-quality pizza to be found in Austin nowadays, but it's hard to find a more popular spot than Home Slice. It's great for a sit-down meal for big families or groups of friends or just a quick slice to-go from their convenient walk-up location, located just next door to the main restaurant on South Congress Avenue. ...

    Magnolia Cafe

A sweetly busy diner where the sign reads, "sorry, we never close" and the food is as deeply satisfying as it is caloric. The house offers several types of queso, and guests start their meals getting lost in chips and a bowl of the stuff thickly laden with quacamole, black beans, pico de gallo, and/or cowboy-pleasing beef. Save room for ...

    Hopdoddy Burger Bar

    50 reviews

I liked it. It was crowded, the seats weren't too comfortable, and it was loud, but I thought my veggie burger was pretty good.

    Torchy's Tacos

    47 reviews

First of all, tacos are large, not your small dinky taco like other places. The prices may seem high but quantity and quality delivers. Huge variety, great sauces and an assortment non traditional tacos with interesting ingredients and combinations to get you filled up

    Uchi Restaurant

    43 reviews

Best dining experience of my life. The sushi is incredible-- each dish is crafted as a mix of flavor, texture, and color. Highly recommended as a place to savor each dish course by course. Fabulous wine menu and very knowledgeable service.

    Gueros Taco Bar

This place is gross and over priced. The best thing about this place is that it's on south congress! Polvos on South 1st puts Guerros to shame. Drinks, food, and service are 100% better. #justfacts

    Stubb's Bar-B-Q

    43 reviews

Good veggies (yep, veggies)! I can't review the BBQ, but my husband seemed to enjoy it! :o) Stubb's is also a great venue for concerts. It's small and intimate so you really get to enjoy the performance.

    Franklin Barbecue

Worth the 4 hour wait! The best pulled pork I've ever had and the meat from the ribs literally just fell off the bone! Don't even get me started on the brisket! Everything was so flavourful!

    Kerbey Lane Cafe

Walk to Kerbey Lane for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Known for their healthy dishes, Kerbey Lane is an Austin original, favorite. My favorite -- cherry pancakes for breakfast.

    Hula Hut

    27 reviews

I love Hula Hut. The location is the best part. Because it's off of Lake Austin and not Lake Travis you can get there quickly and easily from downtown. The food is good and they have lots of options to make everyone in the group happy. The whole restaurant has a fun and relaxed vibe. I love the chicken guacamole ...

    Shady Grove

    27 reviews

Another outdoor spot for yummy margaritas... along with salads, burgers, wings, etc. On Thursday nights during the summer, check out "Unplugged at the Grove" with acoustic music from some of Austin's finest. No reservations, so on the weekends there may be a wait. But, the margaritas will make the time fly by.
