A million cars and trucks may be flying by on nearby I-35. But inside the Marriott, I felt insulated. It's classic luxury stylings make a nice backdrop to have a cocktail or catch dinner. I didn't have a chance to see a room - my stay was brief - but If they are on par with the lobby and restaurant, it's bound to be a top notch pick.Recommended for:

This is a very elegant and well managed hotel. This is a hotel flight attendants choose to work at, and they’ve seen a lot of hotels. They have one of the largest indoor pools and hot tubs I know of in Austin. As well, they have an exceptionally large fitness facility stocked with fresh fruit. They also have business facilities and free wifi. The rooms are very clean, well-kept, spacious, well lit and elegantly decorated. There is a restaurant on-site which is convenient, as there aren’t restaurants in convenient walking distance. You can upgrade your room to include breakfast, snacks and happy hour, which is a cheaper option than not upgrading and paying for them when you want it. The hotel is perfectly located to be convenient for traveling to and from the airport and downtown, depending on which highway you hop on. Best part is, the Marriott runs a free shuttle every 30 minutes to downtown and the airport.Recommended for:

This Austin Marriott, right off northbound Interstate 35, is flanked by a handful of Marriott branches, like Fairfield Inn and Courtyard, but this three-star property is by far the most luxurious option. It's higher on the Marriott totem pole, so guests can enjoy amenities, like a full-service restaurant and bar (both open until midnight), indoor pool and a small, adjacent sun deck, a 24-hour fitness center and business facilities. The decor is fancy (with heavy trim, plush bedding and seating and rich colors) and the rooms are comfortable with large HD TVs and a nice bathroom with granite counter tops and complimentary toiletries. A particular highlight is the hotel's free downtown shuttle that runs every 30 minutes. It drops guests at the Courtyard Marriott location at Trinity and Fourth Street, just blocks from Sixth Street and the city's best restaurants.Recommended for:

Pretty standard Marriott experience. Located about 4 miles from downtown, you definitely need a car if you stay here. Desk staff is friendly and helpful, rooms are comfortable, and for $20 per person, per night you can upgrade to access concierge services including breakfast buffet, snacks, and happy hour drinks on the honor system.
