    InterContinental Sydney

    InterContinental Sydney

    Class:
    6 reviews
Excellent! - 90% of guests recommend

This hotel has one of the lushest lobbies I’ve laid my eyes on. Part heritage building, part modern high-rise, the Intercontinental is very large and very busy. There are the usual features including a business centre, wi-fi (at a charge), 24-hour gym and a pool. You can take High Tea in the beautiful, decadent lounge, and the ‘open-air’ ceiling entices ...

Exceptional service, great location, wonderful rooms. This hotel is located in a great location and begins on the 8th floor so you are guaranteed a view. While you don't have views of the opera house, you can soak in the city. Recommend buying access to the club lounge. They offer full and expansive breakfast offering. It is very spacious and ...

    Westin Melbourne Hotel

    Westin Melbourne Hotel

    Class:
    3 reviews
Excellent! - 89% of guests recommend

You couldn’t ask to be any more central than the Westin, located a single block north of the city’s main train station, Flinders Street, Federation Square and the Yarra River. The hotel is also just across the street from the famous Athenaeum Theatre and the Melbourne Town Hall. As soon as you enter the lobby, the hotel’s five star rating ...

    Emporium Hotel

    Emporium Hotel

    3 reviews
Excellent! - 91% of guests recommend

The Emporium Hotel is just sensational! It doesn't have a restaurant like typical hotels, but the menu and service is in a league of its own. In a restaurants place, it has a wine bar, with a selection so extensive that you will never be "settling" for a wine. The staff are highly attentive, but intuitive, they know when to ...

    Oaks Goldsbrough Apartments

    Oaks Goldsbrough Apartments

    Class:
    3 reviews
Good! - 77% of guests recommend

For $181.50 a night, I think it was price worthy of paying because of it's location. It's about 5 minute walk to the harbor & 10 minute taxi ride to the opera house and botanic garden. The room definitely looks like it has recently been renovated because it looks pretty new on the inside but pretty old on the outside. ...

    Sheraton on the Park

    Sheraton on the Park

    Class:
    8 reviews
Excellent! - 90% of guests recommend

I stayed here in 2008 on a business trip and found it a great hotel. The rooms are comfortable, with a little couch in the room for a psuedo "living room" area. There are lots of shops nearby and lots of taxis available in the area. The service here is as you would expect, friendly but not over the top. ...

    Sofitel Brisbane Central

    Sofitel Brisbane Central

    Class:
    3 reviews
Excellent! - 88% of guests recommend

The Sofitel Brisbane Central has an ideal location in the heart of "Brissy's" central business district. In fact, it is right atop the central train station, which has an Airtrain that goes out to the airport. There are also plenty of shops, restaurants and points of interest within a kilometer's walk of here. This used to be the Sheraton Brisbane ...

Amidst a sea of hotels in Melbourne’s central business district, the independently-owned Alto Hotel needed to stand out from the crowd. Ultimately, they chose to become the most environmentally sustainable hotel not just in Melbourne, but in the entire country. The hotel has the lowest energy and waste expenditure per guest, it’s completely run on renewable energy and even their ...

    The Langham, Melbourne

    The Langham, Melbourne

    Class:
    3 reviews
Excellent! - 93% of guests recommend

The Langham hotel is pretty in pink--from the tidy bows in the receptionists' hair to the pink iron provided in the large guest room closet to the pink stationary helpfully placed on the bed each night listing the next day’s weather. I couldn't agree more that this is my favorite 5-star hotel in the city. For one thing, the service ...

    Park Hyatt Sydney

    Class:

There are a handful of exceptional things about the Park Hyatt Sydney, two of which are the coveted location and the spectacular views. This property is located in 'The Rocks' under the Harbor Bridge, and is centered around views of the Harbor and the Opera House. Each of the guest rooms, as well as the main lobby and dining areas, ...

    Sofitel Sydney Wentworth

    Sofitel Sydney Wentworth

    Class:
    4 reviews
Very Good! - 84% of guests recommend

The Sofitel goes for understated luxury and, on a whole, succeeds. A short walk from Circular Quay in the northern CBD, the staff here are unfailingly professional and service is crisp. The Sofitel has good value city-view rooms, or splashier terrace-view rooms, all with deliciously soft king beds, plush beige decor, and flat-screen TVs. Bathrooms are lovely with polished chrome ...

    Grand Hyatt Melbourne

    Grand Hyatt Melbourne

    Class:
    3 reviews
Excellent! - 86% of guests recommend

Among the Grand Hyatt's most impressive features are its central location, outdoor tennis courts and truly massive fitness facilities. The 24-hour gym comes equipped with a designated cycling room, pool, plenty of cardio and weight machines and even an area to buy workout clothing and gear. Besides the gym (admittedly my favorite area of the hotel), the accommodations also live ...

The Sofitel has an air of easy elegance about itself, like it doesn’t have to try too hard to be a 5-star hotel. The public areas are outfitted with ample plush seating, perfect for resting your feet after a long day of taking in all that Melbourne has to offer. The large guestrooms are similarly inviting and bathrooms in the ...

    Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney

    Radisson Blu Plaza Hotel Sydney

    Class:
    3 reviews
Excellent! - 90% of guests recommend

The luxury arm of the global Radisson brand, I really feel like the Radisson Blu (with its western CBD location) should be more exciting. Everything is done to a top standard, from the gleaming lobby to the fine gym to the polished restaurant to the continually on-the-bounce staff. But: something about the Blu still leaves me cold. Although all the ...

    The Diamant Boutique Hotel Sydney

    Class:

A nice option in Kings Cross for those looking to stay a little bit upscale, the Diamant offers decent value for money, with tasteful modern decor. Some of the rooms are showing a little bit of wear, but it's hard to argue with the location, a very short walk to the Kings Cross train station and to buses all over ...

    Crown Casino & Entertainment Complex

    Crown Casino & Entertainment Complex

    8 reviews

I actually haven't spent much time in the casino area itself but I love all the restaurants and activity that goes on here, one of my favourite places in the city at night. A bit on the pricy side but there are cheaper options as well for food. There are a couple of clubs upstairs that are ok, not the ...
