Awesome pub lunch! A bit more pricey than your average pub, but it's good and it's in Freo so you expect that! :) about a million of their own beers on tap also!

    Golden Monkey

    5
    2 reviews

Golden Monkey is a really cool cocktail bar located on Lonsdale Street. Drinks can be rather expensive, but the atmosphere is great. They usually have a band on Thursday night, which compliments the great ambiance. The bar area is somewhat small and can get crowded early on their busy nights, however you can reserve a table a head of time. ...

    The Espy Hotel

    4.5
    2 reviews

The Espy Hotel, short for Hotel Esplanade, opened in 1878 and has since become one of the best spots to hang out, grab a bite, or see awesome live music. Acts from all over the world have graced The Espy stage including Jurassic 5, John Farnham, and De La Soul. I spent most of my days sipping Aussie beers on ...

    The Penny Black

    4
    2 reviews

The Penny Black is one of Melbourne's standard 'locals'. It's a nice bar with a large open courtyard in the back. If you're looking to get a sense of what life is like in Brunswick this is a great place to stop.

The best nightlife on the hill by a mile. Awesome live acts there all the time. They do great food as well. Busy pub atmosphere downstairs and nightclub atmosphere upstairs.

    Wildbrumby Schnapps Distillery

    4
    1 review

There are a number of small wineries in Jindabyne, but for an alcoholic rest-stop Wildbrumby -- with its infinitely quaffable schnapps -- should be at the top of the list. Take home a bottle when you go, but beware the hot chili schnapps! There's also a respectable cafe / coffeeshop on site.

    The Woolshed

    4
    1 review

The Woolshed is the city's own little backyard tavern - and most of the hostels/hotels provide drink coupons or other deals for you to get a pint and a bite here. It's a great place to meet people and hang out.

    Public Bar & Dining Room

    3
    1 review

They serve pizzas and some other bar food, but their main course is beer. Quite the meeting spot for Aussies on a Friday night, with some outdoor seating, and space to cruise along the bar when its crowded. A good time for sure.

    Retreat Hotel

    3
    1 review

The best part of the Retreat Hotel is it's beer garden in the back. Open, relaxed, and lush. Don't be scared by the dark and gloomy entrance - keep walking until you find the entrance to the garden and you'll be glad that you did.

    Bojangles Saloon and Restaurant

    2
    1 review

The Wild West meets the Aussie Outback at Bojangles Saloon in Alice Springs. The decor is tacky, the drinks are cheap, and the food is horrible, but there's always a crowd listening to live music at the indoor picnic tables.

    Shark Bay Hotel

    2
    1 review

A pub is a pub except when it has that extra special quirkiness. The Shark Bay Hotel has the distinction of being the westernmost pub in Australia but other than that... Just a pub. So, if you are craving a pint and a counter meal, head to this WA relic.
