    Chillis Backpackers Hostel

    Chillis Backpackers Hostel

Awesome little hostel located on Darwins tourist street. During June prices are a little bit more than most other hostels with traveller expecting to pay around $30 a night. For this you get free breakfast, dorm style accommodation with shared facilities and sometimes free dinner vouches for the vic hotel. Staff are fairly freindly although can be a bit dismissive ...

    Tahi Beach Resort

    Tahi Beach Resort

Tahi Beach (http://www.tahinz.com/) is a cross between a luxury vacation rental and a farm stay. I never knew luxury and sustainability could go hand in hand until I stayed at Tahi. I can't wait until I can go back and stay at the paradise that co-owners/managers, Dr. John Craig and Dr. Anne Craig are creating. John teaches environmental management at ...

This is a backpackers resort, so can get quite lively at times. The Manta Bar often puts on live music events and fun evenings like karaoke or cross-dressing. This won’t be everyone’s cup of tea, but if you up for a laugh in one of the most beautiful locations in the world then you can’t go wrong. Obviously the rooms ...

We rented one of the smaller campers from them. They van was very nice, drove well and was clean when we got it. Everything worked and we had a great experience. Returning was simple and they were very lenient as far as checking that everything was returned ok.

    Adventure Queenstown Hostel

    Adventure Queenstown Hostel

In my six weeks throughout New Zealand and Australia, Adventure Queenstown was hands down my favorite hostel of all. They have the friendliest staff, large private showers, fully stocked kitchen, strong a/c in the rooms (which was heaven in summer, believe me), comfortable and QUIET bunk beds, plus giant locker storage room with power outlets in the lockers! Everything is ...

    Kahoe Farms Hostel

How often do you get to stay on a working cattle farm without doing any chores? Lyndsey's family has owned the land for five generations. She and her husband, Stefano, opened the hostel in 1991. If you play your cards right, Stefano can usually be persuaded to cook. You pay for the meal, but it's reasonably priced and his pizza ...

Small touches like flowers from the perfectly pruned garden in your room, to freshly baked cookies and port at sunset, really make you feel as if you are being pampered by your own Mum!

I stayed there in May 2010. It was recently renovated, everything was clean and neat. The common room is large and bright and there's a nice terrace. It's conveniently located at the end of the Queen street so everything is withing walking distance: shopping, Sky Tower, food, strip club, etc. There's a really nice cafe downstairs too.

Karioi Lodge is a fantastic backpackers. The shared rooms are small which is always nice (only sharing with 3 or 4 people). The kitchen and common room are a nice size. It's secluded and in a lovely location to watch a sunset. There's even a small zipline!

Excellent! - 86% of guests recommend

Looking out north over the Tasman Bay, the Nelson wine region is the much more wet and rainy neighbour of Marlborough, having less protection from the mountains. The region is great for producing Sauvignon Blanc and Riesling, but the real champions are Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, which compete with the best of the country. If you’re traveling to Nelson and ...

    Akaroa Top 10 Holiday Park

This is a beautiful Top 10 above Akaroa with amazing views of the bay. It is a bit of a walk (down the mountain) to get to town, but the location is beautiful. The campground is a bit minimalistic and gets rather crowded compared to other campgrounds in New Zealand. Make sure you get a spot that is flat. Many ...

Lovely room, perfect bedding, staff were friendly and helpful. Had to leave a day early and asked if perhaps I could have a credit for the unused evening as I planned to stay again for a week in the next couple of months they said yes . I will stay there or have my staff stay there again.

Very nice hostel, one of the better ones I've stayed in. I previously stayed at one of the other hostels in Auckland closer to the center of the city but I definitely found it was worth the walk to stay at YHA. The facilities were clean and ample sized. I stayed in a female dorm and the room was quite ...
