Commanding a great view over the lake this fine dining establishment has the goods. The food, mostly traditional kiwi-fare with a infused Pacific and Asian influence is outstanding. The wine list is vast and the atmosphere is classy, crisp and worth the upmarket price tag.

    Guylian Belgian Chocolate Cafe

After shopping for a didgeridoo in the Rocks shops I was sort of beat. I found this shop off the main street and ordered a hot chocolate and croissant to perk me up. They have a comfy little back courtyard that gets some sun, where you can sip in peace. You can even get a good breakfast or lunch here.

good stuff if a bit expensive. Staff serving can be very surly... ride even. Don't bother with the coffee as it's very average! It's a busy place... don't think that there'll be space to sit...
