I'm not a religious person but I swear, the light is just different in here. The legend goes that Jesus' resurrection occurred here, home of the last two stages of the cross. You can see the spot where he was supposedly crucified and where his tomb was. There are indeed tombs from the first century AD, and the church started ...

Without a doubt the most atmospheric entrance to the north western side of the Old City, facing East Jerusalem. The approach throngs with Arab merchants selling anything from fruit and vegetables to shoes and ashtrays. Through the gate leads on to a lively market street and onwards (at a fork in the street, take the one to the left) to ...

Not for the claustrophobic! It's such a unique and moving experience to walk through this historic tunnel. Bring a flashlight, as it is pitch black inside, and wear shoes that can get wet, since the water is knee deep in places. It is a good walk, but the cool tunnel is a nice break from the heat outside.

This place is a memorial for all of the idf soldiers who were killed in action. This memorial is very accessible and also well organized and decorated. It's less an attraction unless there is a specific memorial you wish to visit.
