It's a new stadium in Dublin. It's easy to get there by train and bus. It's absolutely nice to visit inside. There are many restaurants near to the stadium.

A perfect place for a long walk in Dublin. Start in the Docklands on foot or bike and follow the path along the canal all the way around the south side of the city. You can go on for miles (far beyond the city, in fact) so be sure to plan your route beforehand. The canal isn't used much any ...Popular withOutdoorDesignBackpackers

This glamorous bar in a swish boutique hotel is thought to be one of Dublin’s finest. Expect a fashionable crowd here who like to drink. It’s all about the cocktails here with a huge selection of spirits on the back bar and a great list of drinks to work from. Their Manhattans are killer so definitely get a round in ...Popular withLuxuryTrendstersNightlife

The theater is the newest arrival on the 'arts scene' in Dublin, having just opened in March 2010. Everyone knows the Abbey Theatre, but if you want to get out and explore someplace new, try catching a performance here. They have an extensive lineup of performers and shows already scheduled.

A fine tribute to the amazing poet Patrick Kavanagh. "Oh stoney grey soil of Monaghan you burgled my bank of youth" Just one of his lines, he spent a lot of time here by the canal reflecting, and now we can do the same.Popular withHistory

Mespil Road. If the weather is fine and you would like to eat outdoors, this is a great place for lunch. The photograph was taken in the depths of winter but there were still many hardy souls eating outside which must say something for the food. lunchtime (11-2) Farmer's market on Thursdays by the canal. http://www.irishvillagemarkets.ie/mespil_road_market.php

I really love the style of this Anglican Church, it's quite unique, and dates from 1824. This Georgian style church has regular services, & is open to public viewings each Wednesday & Thursday lunchtime. The church also hosts concerts, with Sharon Corr & James Vincent McMorrow playing here & Beth Orton due to play here in December.

Is considered the National Cathedral and is Ireland's largest church. Very lovely church with centuries of history. If you are lucky to listen in on an organ concert it is pretty cool. Also, if you are a fan of Gulliver's Travels you can check out Johnathan Swift (the author and former dean of the cathedral) is buried on the grounds.Popular withHistoryDesignLocal

I think my coolness ratio went up 11% just by hanging out in here. The 18th century church was decommissioned and turned into a nightclub in the basement, a bar on the main floor, and a swanky restaurant on the second floor. There are plenty of tables on all three floors, so you'll have plenty of room, even though the ...Popular withDesignHistoryNightlife
