Most Luxurious Hotels
Gogobot users don't just look for run of the mill luxury. They want something different and inspiring --- and the Most Luxurious Hotels list incorporates everything from surprisingly stylish in Vegas to Rio de Janeiro decadence.
Modern glitz and glam, with thoughtful touches like hammam spas, pop art in most available nooks and crannies, and its place front and center on the Las Vegas scene earns the Cosmopolitan its number one place on the Luxurious Hotels list.

the practical floorplan. I certainly didn't mind the the beautiful strip view from the balcony either. There are no shortage of luxury on the strip but what Cosmopolitan offer is more than just some a Jacuzzi tub or and shiny granite kitchenette. It is a very thoughtful hotel and a showcase for some intriguing modern art. I enjoyed all the coffee table books, paintings and sculptures. The hotel lobby alone is detour worthy. I only have one complaint. Why can't I have a coffee machine in the room? Would that basic kitchen equipment really destroy the chic ambiance?

The Hotel del Coronado is distinguished among San Diego hotels, but owns a place on a worldwide list as well. A historic oceanfront property filled with luxurious touches like its award-winning spa, lore of past guests, and at least one ghost, Gogobot users love the Del's romantic setting and stunning location on the beach.

This Maui hotel is lauded for being incredibly tasteful with great service. The fact that every room is actually a suite doesn't hurt, and neither do the pristine white sandy beaches.

Opulent suites with a Michelin-starred onsite restaurant, a fitness room with excellent views of the city, and touches like cucumbers in the water contribute to Trump International's Travelers' Favorites status.

rooms are exceptional -- spacious, well appointed, great design, and exceptional views. The fitness facilities are large and have the latest equipment. Service is also top notch. The only things I didn't like about the property are 1) the excessive Trump branding and Ivanka propaganda and 2) the slow elevators. One thing to note: if you are offered coffee with your wake up call, expect it to show up on the bill. It isn't a complementary service.
High tea (a legacy of Britain's governorship of Hong Kong) aside, the Peninsula has hosted a long list of luminaries, and operates, according to the Gogobot community, like a 'well-oiled machine', complete with a top-notch spa and optional helicopter tours.

properties so I say with great confidence that The Broadmoor is the truest 5-star I have stayed at in the States. The Broadmoor has an air of regality about it but, at the same time, lacks the pretentious vibe of many other high-end hotels. I love waking up each morning at the Broadmoor, opening my drapes to watch the sun rise over the Rockies, and breathing in the fresh air over a cup of coffee. That might be why I love the Broadmoor so much--each day starts in my image of perfection. Each evening you could end with a drink or dinner at one of their fabulous on-property establishments (my personal favorite is the Bee--an excellently recreated English piano bar) or you could relax in the outdoor hot tub soaking up the star-filled night sky. However you decide to start or end your day at The Broadmoor I guarantee that the beginning, end, and everything in between will be a spectacular experience.

everything worked flawlessly here. Staff is really friendly and helpful. Rooms are elegant and cozy. The bed is super comfortable and the bathroom is also great, roomy and with great water pressure. The lobby is on the 8th floor and it has some nice artworks and an atrium with chairs and sofas for you to relax and enjoy the nice environment. The location of the hotel is also great. Walk two blocks up to Alder Street between 9th and 11th and you will find a really big food truck pod, which is the best way to explore Portland's famous street food scene.
With a private beach and thoughtful beach bags including sunblock, a multiplicity of restaurants to choose from and surprisingly capacious rooms, the Jumeirah is an excellent luxury alternative to the Burj al-Arab.

There are over 30 restaurants (at least that's what they said), pools, lots of beach front property and it wasn't crowded at all. All in all the staff did their absolute best to make this trip amazing for us and we will be back!

had our single best family vacation ever at Hualalai. The service quality is superb (our3 kids had customized candy trays waiting for them upon arrival!), the pool area comfortably accommodate young kids (non-swimmers) and older kids, the restaurants on the property are kid friendly, you can make smores on the beach, etc. As an added bonus, there are always movie stars running around and my kids hung out with Julia Roberts' children (who were very sweet). My children have asked on numerous occassions to go back and we will make it happen sometime during 2011. It really is heaven on earth.

I could probably only afford to stay in once in a blue moon, but c'mon, you just gotta splurge sometimes, you know? Everything was so modern and trendy that I felt kind of guilty moving some of the furniture around and ruining the mood. I loved all the awesome snacks, including the green tea, they provide to the guests. I remember coming here for a party once too and everyone was really impressed with the decor. We also dined in the restaurant on the first floor and the food was super delicious, even though it was a bit pricey.

Resort is literally a rags-to-riches sort of experience after weeks of backpacking up Thailand's west coast. When I travel, I like to rough it rugged then finish with a pampering stay in a suite and an infinity pool. The service in Thailand is generally warm and kind, but the staff at the Westin takes it to heart assuring the experience accommodates your every expectation. Our suite was perched along the hill facing a cove, where from a spectacular sunset almost unreal seemed part of the Westin experience. Concierge services took us to a few of Phuket's best walking spots and recommended for us two of my favorite meals — Raya restaurant and the night market's smorgasbord of local street food. If even in the city for just a few days, staying at the Westin is innately a part of a perfect Phuket getaway.
