Top Ski Resorts in North America
There's nothing quite like a ski vacation, whether you're the type to spend the day slaloming and the night partying or you prefer to spend most of your time getting cozy at the lodge drinking hot chocolate or soaking in a hot tub. Here are the top ski resorts in North America as chosen by the Gogobot community.
Over two million skiers and snowboarders grace the mountain peaks of the Whistler Blackcomb resort each year. Gogobot users consider it hands down the best skiiing in North America, citing the variety of terrain and efficient lifts.

days riding on the mountain at a time, making these trips long and memorable. Or maybe it's the fact that the runs are long with fun hops and turns and plenty of tree runs great for snowboarders like myself. The only thing I hate about this place is the T-bars, which are a necessary evil to get me to the high point of the mountain and some of the best powder runs. Between the two, I definitely like the Blackcomb mountainside better. Although I like the Peak 2 Peak Gondola for its views and ability to connect me with the Whistler side, I think it's a pretty long ride, which is not very desirable depending what time of day it is and what you want to accomplish.Overall, if you like to ski or snowboard, Whistler should be on your bucket list. It's worth the travel there.
With 140 trails and the world's most extreme snow-making equipment, Killington is one of the best known ski resorts on the East Coast. The Gogobot community loves the apres-ski scene.

An easily accessible resort, with a scenic gondola ferrying skiers and snowboarders directly to the mountain from nearby the Lake Tahoe casinos. Gogobot users love the sheer size of the place - Heavenly straddles California and Nevada - and variety of activities available.

varies from pure beginner to super-gnarly, the resort has the distinction of spanning two states. Heavenly covers a huge area, and the frontside views out over the lake on a clear day are nothing short of stunning. Spend the morning in Nevada, and then ski over to California for the afternoon -- this is my favorite place to ski in Lake Tahoe.

A skiers' paradise, with perfectly groomed runs and luxurious touches everywhere you turn. Childcare is a big plus, but the lift ticket max ensuring uncrowded slopes is an even bigger one.
Rated the #1 resort in the US for a reason. The fluff, the mountain, the service, the food.

the middle of the summer and we had just visited the Smoky Mountains. We stopped in Gatlinburg and I vaguely remember an IMAX movie and a giant trampoline but the bobsledding really sticks out. Of course, it's a great thing for kids but I'm guessing that I'd still love it today.
