I went to Disneyland with my brother for my birthday on Memorial Day weekend and thought I'd never find a cheap, yet decent hotel where we could crash after a day of fun.
Thankfully, I was wrong! I found the Ayres Hotel and was able to get an amazing special, $93 including taxes for one room with two queens, free wireless internet, free parking, and free hot breakfast.
Andrew at reception was super friendly and asked us where we wanted our room (Want to see Disneyland's fireworks? Want a quiet room? Something on the first floor?). His birthday was a few days earlier and he had also gone to Disneyland and had some good tips.
The room itself was perfect. Clean, spacious and the beds were amazing! My brother is tall (6'3") and has a bad back and he said it was the most comfortable he had been in a while. The only thing that got him up in the morning was the hot breakfast...made-to-order pancakes, eggs, bacon and hash browns along with several cold items (yogurt, muffins, bagels, etc.).
The hotel is about 2 miles from Disneyland, but it was worth the drive to have a quiet place that was clean and didn't feel touristy.
I will definitely be staying at this hotel in the future and I recommend it to anyone who wants a lovely get-away in the heart of Anaheim.

The Ayres was a welcome retreat after a long trip in the 5:00 commute from San Diego. My girlfriend and I came here to celebrate our anniversary and 24-hour Disneyland, and decided to splurge. We didn't even have to splurge financially, since this place was such a great deal - and yet a hundred times better than any of the cheap budget places we've crashed at in the past. They offer warm baked cookies when you check in, and the room was like a private studio apartment - I was bummed we had to leave at 5am because I wanted to enjoy it more! Plus the breakfast was hot and cooked to order, and they let us take our coffee in to-go cups since we were the crazy ones leaving for 24-hour Disney. Definitely want to come back.Recommended for:

The lobby was warm and welcoming with plush furniture and a warm fireplace that was fit for a king. The elegance continued into the rooms with tons of room, cushy beds, decorative headboards, and flat screen televisions. Across the street is the Honda Center, which hosts Anaheim Ducks hockey games and a lot of concerts. Even though the hotel is located far from the Disney Resort, the area was recently re-developed with plenty of food choices, new high-rise apartment buildings, and entertainment including a movie theater and dining options within a 10-minute walk of the hotel and an outlet mall about a 5-minute drive away.

A beautiful little boutique hotel in the heart of Anaheim - 10 minutes from Disneyland and the Convention Center. The "dream sleeper" beds were to die for, the little living room extension a plus (we were expecting a standard room and this was basically a suite) and the deep (although short) bathtub was a delight. It was a cozy, extremely comfortable room and the service was impeccable - plus the full breakfast in the morning was more than we could possibly eat. My only regret is we couldn't stay longer!Recommended for:
