Loved this hotel because of the price! Yes Bally's needs a remodel because it's one of the older hotels on the strip... but it has one of the best locations! Right across from the Bellagio and Caesar's Palace. If you get a room in the south tower you can see the Bellagio Fountain show. The service at the front desk, cleaning ladies, and bell hops were all really friendly to us. The rooms are simple but for the price you can't really complain.

The people mover (flat elevator) in front of the hotel to get people to the front door always reminds me of a Disneyland ride. It's like, going back to the future or something.
Yes, this hotel is VERY dated. But, it's in such a prime location you can almost overlook it. Right next door to Paris (and connected internally), it's part of the Harrah group so you can use their shuttles to get to the other Harrah properties. Recently they also featured a buffet special where you can eat at all the properties over a 24 hour period for $40. That just sounds like extreme excess.

Bally's is another great hotel on the Las vegas trip, because the staff is nice, the atmosphere is fun and entertaining, and the food is great. On my last trip to Bally's Hotel & Casino I stopped in with some friends who were from out of town, and we went and ate had some drinks in the mexican restaurant in the hotel. The food was good and from where we were sitting we could here a band setting up in the lounge area. After we we were done we actually stuck around and listened to the band play who ended up drawing in a pretty good crowd.
Bally's is in the middle of the strip which makes it a perfect place to stay at, because then you are not far from all the other hotels and such located on the strip.

The location is good for it's central spot on the strip and walking distance for Paris, Bellagio, and Cosmopolitan.
We paid the extra $50 to get upgraded to a suite and were excited until we got to the room. Yea it was big, but it was just floor space between the bed and the TV. And the room itself looked really old and awkward with the railings separating the bedroom and the bathroom area.
While we were unpacking and exploring a little bit, we heard lots of noises from the next room in addition to doors banging shut. My bf called the front desk to ask to get moved to another room and after some waiting, negotiating, and checking, we got moved to the North Tower for a standard room on the Diamond floor. Sweet!
The room in this renovated tower was much much better than the old suite. It was smaller but overall it looked, and felt much more comfortable.
Get rooms in the North Tower for sure.

Bally's is another old property that I remember being so-so and somewhere you would probably want to stay with your family if your family cares not for the glamours of Vegas and the craziness of the bigger casinos.
It's a nice solid 3-star property with reasonable rates, relatively comfortable rooms, larger than usual bathrooms and regular amenities all around. The staff is nice, the hotel is a little smokey and sometimes check in is slow and check out is slower because the TV is broken and you can't check out through there.
It has a pretty key location, which can be good or bad depending on how wild you get (but if you're with family, probably not). It reminds me of the Flamingo quite a bit, it's definitely not your high life Vegas spot.Recommended for:Family Travelers

Again not the best place on the strip but not the worst, by far. Ballys is a classic, one of the last remaining properties from the second wave of the Las Vegas Strip development. The rooms are a nice size, and clean. A tip, if you check in on Foursquare, you unlock two for one drinks at any casino bar (It unlocks every time you check in)! Now you have no excuse not to stop in and have a drink or three! Enjoy!

I like staying here. It's a good central location on the strip- walking distance to Ceasar's Palace and good prices. Most of their rooms have been updated. The staff has always been great. Never had any problems.

Ballys is probably my favorite hotel to stay at on the strip. They are not the fanciest, but they are close to everything I like. Right across from Cesars and Sam's Town. Bautista's Hole in the Wall is just across the street (on the side) and I love all their little shops downstairs in their "concourse" area.
The staff is nice and helpful, and have never not had a good time when I've stayed at Ballys.

The rooms are old and need to be remodeled. The casino is dirty and dark but if your trying to stay cheap on the strip this is the place. It's a good location in the sinter if the stip. it's an ok place to stay but in sure you'll be going out to other places.
