    The Fairmont Banff Springs

    The Fairmont Banff Springs

    Class:
    25 reviews
Excellent! - 86% of guests recommend

This is my "go-to" hotel in Banff. Even when I am staying there it always seem to be the central action. The rooms are all across the board some small some large some funky shaped. The hotel and surrounding trails are beautiful. There is a fun and inexpensive irish pub just behind the hotel.

    Rimrock Resort Hotel

    Rimrock Resort Hotel

    Class:
    3 reviews
Excellent! - 87% of guests recommend

The Rimrock hotel doesn't get the same recognition that the Banff Springs does, but the views are actually better from this hotel! The restaurants are excellent, though they are a bit pricey. Overall this is an excellent value hotel.

    Castle Mountain Chalets

    Castle Mountain Chalets

    2 reviews
Very Good! - 81% of guests recommend

Castle Mountain is located approximately half-way between Banff and Lake Louise. While looking nearly impenetrable from the Trans-Canada Highway, the peak can be ascended from the backside on the northeastern slopes. The mountain was named in 1858 by James Hector for its castle-like or fortress appearance. Following the post-war visit of U.S. president Dwight D. Eisenhower, the name was changed ...

This hotel is perfectly located in Banff, very walkable distance to everything and it offers inexpensive on-site parking along with great, fluffy beds (and a pillow menu if you want to be particular with one or all of your six pillows). The Buffalo Mountain Lodge is located an easy drive or walk away from downtown Banff along Tunnel Mountain Drive. The Company that owns this property, also operates the Deer Lodge in Lake Louise and the Emerald Lake Lodge near Yoho National Park (BC). Storm Mountain Lodge & Cabins

    Storm Mountain Lodge & Cabins

    1 review

Storm Mountain Lodge is located in Banff National Park in the Vermillion Pass on the Banff-Windermere Highway (#93 south). It is just 25 minutes outside of Banff and Lake Louise townsites. It's a reasonable drive and a nice quiet nature alternative to actually staying in a sometimes busy and touristy Banff. It's also on the way to Kootenay National Park ...

    Inns Of Banff

Fair - 70% of guests recommend

Inns of Banff is located on Banff Avenue but about a 15 to 20 minute walk from the busy downtown area of Banff Avenue at the farther end of the town. Style wise, the hotel is pretty average but it is worth staying at because of the spectacular views of the mountains and the quiet. It offers a number of ...

    Spruce Grove Inn

    Class:

Mediocre - 63% of guests recommend

Nothing spectacular and they did not deliver the room we had pre-paid for until the second night (balcony, superior room was exchanged for budget, no balcony, no a/c, not even a window that opened on the first night). Not another room in the hotel or in the town so we were forced to stay anyway. No apologies from the staff. ...

    Mount Royal Hotel

    Class:

Good! - 77% of guests recommend

I really wish I could use fancy words like intimate, historic and vintage feel. But that would really be stretching it. There really isn't much to say about this hotel that is exceptional or great. Or even good. It just happens to be in a good location if you don't care where your unconcious body is at night. However, it ...
