    Atlanta Hotel

    Atlanta Hotel

    4
    4 reviews

The Atlanta is probably the most memorable place to stay in Bangkok. It’s a cheap, beautifully restored historic hotel with a pool and plans for new bathrooms with American-style water pressure by high season this winter. It’s located on Soi 2 off of Sukhumvit, but those facts, and the physical address don’t even begin to describe this place. The Altlanta ...

Even if you can't stay at Arun Residence, you should go here to Amorosa bar on the third floor for the sun set or to The Deck Restaurant on the first. The hotel, bar, and restaurant are on the banks of the Chao Phraya, and when the sun sets Wat Arun is lit up, and from across the river you ...

This hotel has some history and prestige, neoclassical marble décor, and a lobby filled with trees and live classical music. The music is a nice touch. The Erwan shrine is just on the corner and has an interesting story that’s connected to the hotel’s past: http://www.heartofbangkok.com/en/shrine_main.aspx Right now (July 2012) they’re undergoing construction on some of the floors but are ...

This place just opened a few months ago (April 2012) and has been written up in some Thai design magazines because it has an interesting concept behind it. The designer wanted to capture the era of aggression between The Red Shirts and The Yellow Shirts, so notice the oil painting of a heart painted in the colors of the Thai ...

The only fault I can find with the place is that it's so lovely that you won't want to leave the transquility of its grounds to explore congested Bangkok. Loved our suite: spacious, tastefully-decorated in muted tones. Service was flawless too.

This is the tallest hotel in Bangkok. Around Pratunam (or Rachadapisek area) near the Pratunam flea market, I always stay in Baiyoke Sky Hotel. I have been to Bangkok about 8 times and this hotel is one my top 3 choices. It used to be a only about $55 back in 2005 but over the years, it has gone up ...

Shangri-La hotel in Bangkok is not nearly as nice as the one in Manila. Conference rooms were ok minus. Hotel and its rooms feels small and even though everything is ok+ I was expecting similar quality and attention to detail than in the Manila branch, Bangkok was not up to par to its stars.

This is known as the second highest open air restaurant in the southern hemisphere. You can chose to dine there or have cocktails at the bar. We had a three course meal for 3 people which cost about $500 AU.

The Dusit Thani was the first really fancy hotel I stayed in, with a suite larger than my apartment and first class service from all of the staff.
