    The Grand Palace

    155 reviews

best place in Bangkok for sure! Take half a day to visit it. The palace has been the official residence of the Kings of Siam until 1925: now they lives in Chitralada Royal Villa. To get in, it is important to cover legs and shoulders.

    Chatuchak Weekend Market

    137 reviews

An absolute must for any Bangkok visit. Great place to do your shopping for all your gifting back home. The home décor section is a must see along with the pet section. Tip: The best station for the market is Kamphaeng Phet, not Chatuchak Park.

    Khao San Road

    108 reviews

Khao San Road is the focal point of all backpackers in Southeast Asia. It's possible to meet people from all over the world traveling low badget but there is nothing interesting to see. It's convenient for those who need to take a break after a bus trip (many tour buses stop right there) and then leave for other destinations. Nice book ...

    Siam Paragon

    72 reviews

Ready for something wild? Siam Paragon was the most "instrgammed" location in 2013 in the entire world. Out of all the sites across the globe, more pictures were taken of Siam Paragon then anywhere else on the planet. Absolute insanity. For this reason alone you should visit this epic mall when in Bangkok. Large food court, Underground aquarium, movie theatre, ...

    MBK Shopping Center

    91 reviews

MBK is great... Until you find better places. You can find pretty much everything here cheaper on the streets or more exciting JJ market. Not a bad choice if you're in a rush.

    Temple of the Emerald Buddha

    64 reviews

Emerald buddha is really small and your not allowed to take photos, so a little disappointing, especially considering the hype! Still a beautiful temple though.

    Wat Pho

    66 reviews

Just a short walk from the everybody-and-their-cousin free-for-all of the Grand Palace, Wat Pho receives (comparatively) far fewer visitors and, most importantly, it's actually possible here to have a moment of quiet to oneself. Eminent among Bangkok's countless 'wats', Wat Pho is rightly famous for its gargantuan reclining Buddha figure (really very incredibly large), and would be an easy first ...

    Patpong Night Market

    59 reviews

Crowded nightmarket meets gogo clubs. Not even the right kind of sleazy, but the boring kind you can take your visiting relatives to, and yet there is still a chance to be ripped of by hidden charges and cover fees. I suppose the people watching isn't too bad, and if you have aging relatives in tow it might be your ...

    Chinatown

    48 reviews

Eh oui!

    Jim Thompson's House and Museum

    25 reviews

Lovely gardens, a fantastic restaurant and really cool silk print shirts. The style feels a little Tommy Bahama, but I'm a sucker for elephants on clothing, so pull out the MasterCard! The house is unbelievably beautiful and a throw back to another era. I wish I had been Jim Thompson!

it's like another shopping place in bangkok. though it seems that the items they are selling are pretty upscale compare to the markets, there are good finds too. however we did not spend too much time there to discover the possible treasures hence the 3 stars. however the Japanese teppanyaki restaurant there - Kacha Kacha (or something like that) - ...
