If you are a fan of architecture the Baptistery in Pisa is an absolute gem. It is a wonderful amalgam of a wide variety of architectural styles. The base is Romanesque, the second level is Gothic, and the interior is Byzantine.Recommended for:

While the tower is the main attraction in the piazza, the baptistry is wonderful in its own right. The acoustics inside are unbelievable. It's worth waiting around for someone to demonstrate them.Recommended for:

The Baptistry at the Duomo in Pisa is a very sparse structure, but it's lovely none the less. While I was there, a woman was singing by the platform in the middle and the way it echoed off the walls was really beautiful. There's also a great view of the Duomo from a broken window screen upstairs... though they may have fixed that by now.Recommended for:

The Bapistry is a dome on the other side of the cathedral from the Leaning Tower. You can climb to the upper level, and sometimes the guards will walk to the center to let out a note that resonates throughout the entire building.
