Bobby Flay I love you, but your food is inconsistent :/
*Service is excellent, which up'ed this rating. When I called to RSVP she asked if I was going to catch a show and I told her that we needed to be out to catch a bus and she made a note of it. When I arrived, the hosttess reminded us of our tight schedule and accommodated accordingly. :D
*Beautiful decor, which would make an excellent location for a dinner date
*I got the most popular item, rack of pork, and it was so-so. I think it wasn't even cooked all the way :/ and I wasn't full despite the face that I ate everything on the plate. Major brownie points lost :(
*Sweet potato pie with ice cream was sooooo good. but why was it so expensive?! 10 bucks, outrageous! oy! i was prepared to pay 6 or 7 based on the size :/
*My friend got the mussels and fries, which was probably the most worth-while and cost-efficient item on the menu ($24 to fill her up). It's good and filling, but I've been to his competitors place in DC (Granville Moore) and theirs is better and cheaper.
*Good to go to at least once if you're a Flay fan, but don't bring too high of expectations.Recommended for:Trendsters

Excellent food and nice atmosphere. Service was a little spotty. A reasonable pre-theater option but hard to justify seeking it out amidst the chaos of Times Square unless you have to be in the area. Good but there are plenty of places that are as good or better in this city.

i'm going to go with a 3.5, rounding up for this one, chef flay.
we came here for a mother's day dinner, had a nice bottle of wine and a long dinner with the family. not sure if i would have enjoyed it this much if i was with different company.
highlights were the escargot with crawfish, cioppino, cauliflower gratin, blackberry souffle.
lots of flavor, great presentation, and of course - large portions.
b flay steak is good, but as a texan i've had better (nose in the air as i say this, ha). perhaps i should have gone with the waiter recommended pork dish. the tuna tartar starter here isn't as good as the vegas flay restaurant, mesa.
ambience is open, classy, trendy. lots of special occasions being celebrated here since it is pricey. service is typical as expected - hands off but friendly. there's much better in new york, but if you're a flay fan, you've gotta check it out.
