I probably should have realized it would be a quality place, but I was really blown ... read moreaway by the scale, attention to detail and obvious hard work that has gone into making this museum and it's grounds look like a compound of Egyptian temples and gardens. Although a number of their larger pieces are replicas rather than originals, they are all very good and the originals they have are impressive. This includes a number of mummies - both human and of an assortment of animals. Possibly the coolest part of the exhibit is the walk-through replica tomb in the basement. Wow! I also really enjoyed the gardens and could see coming back to explore those again. Unfortunately, the Planetarium was closed when I visited, but I'd like to go back to see this as well..Comment.almost 3 years ago. ReportArlo Hemphill
Have you checked out the Rosicrucian Egyptian Museum? It's really a fantastic display of artifacts and exhibits, held within replica Egyptian temples. It's quite a surprise for San Jose!
