    Cat Bar

    c/ Boria, 17, Barcelona, Spain
    1 review

Tucked away near the Gothic Quarter Cat Bar is a great little cafe and brew pub to visit after visiting the Barcelona Cathedral. One of the rare places in Barcelona that you can be assured your meal will be vegan! Visited this spot in January of 2013, we enjoyed burgers, fries and beers that powered us for a nightly walk ...

    N.A.P Neapolitan Authentic Pizza

Carrer de Gombau, 5, Barcelona, Spain
    1 review

N.A.P, short for Neapolitan Authentic Pizza, could have been plucked straight out of the city of its name, as could many of the clientele. The menu of pizzas is relatively short, with a few specials every day, all tinged from the wood-fired oven, slightly sloppy in the middle and topped with quality mozzarella and fresh ingredients. They do a couple ...

    Kiosko Burger

    Marquès de L’Argentera 1
    5 reviews

Burgers are gigantic!! Everything tastes great & the service is fast and friendly. Fast is a very unusual trait for a restaurant in Barcelona. The bathrooms are lined with unusual Spanish comics that seem to be a rip of Star Wars. It's a good place to go when you're getting tired of tapas.

    Pans & Company

Passeig de Gràcia, 39, Barcelona, Spain
    3 reviews

In terms of culinary choices in Greater Barcelona, Pans probably merits at most 2 Stars. Yet from an American perspective, isn't it great that a Fast Food joint offers beer? The real reason I'm bumping up the rating is that this place was here at the right time. I had just led Gayle through 2 Hours of FCB Barcelona touring ...

    La Hacienda

Carrer del Rec, 69, 08003 Barcelona, Spain
    1 review

Cheap and most definitely cheerful, this Mexican eatery in the beguiling Born district of the city is a safe bet for when you want to satisfy your appetite without breaking the budget. All the Mexican standards are here – quesadillas, fajitas, tacos, enchiladas – with most main dishes coming in at under 10€ a pop. The chefs don’t scrimp on ...

    El Rincón del Cava

Carrer de Blasco de Garay, 53, 08004 Barcelona, Spain
    1 review

“Pintxos for those feeling the pinch” could be the motto of this unprepossessing Poble Sec hangout. A tapas joint if ever there was one, you’ll be blown away by the morsels of mussels, Spanish tortilla, Serrano ham and the classic ‘patatas bravas’. All washed down with cut-price beer or the feistily fizzy stuff of legends – the house Rosé Cava. ...

    C/Pau Claris, 113
    1 review

More a takeaway shop than a restaurant, this franchise is perfect if you simply can’t afford a full-on Barcelona lunch. Emphasising fresh and tasty takeaway options, Tento’s chefs come up with an ever-changing choice of hot and cold dishes, with most Spanish classics represented on the menu. There’s plenty for veggies too, such as rice noodles with tofu and vegetables ...

    Cerveceria Catalana

Carrer de Mallorca 236, 08013 Barcelona, Spain
    35 reviews

YUM YUM YUM! Cerveceria Catalana does some of the best Spanish Tapas I have ever had. Everything we tasted was extremely delicious and it was served fast and quick. The wait can be long since this place is quite popular, but definitely worth it. The atmosphere is also extremely fun and active which definitely helps. My favorites were the ham ...

    Can Paixano

Carrer de la Reina Cristina, 7, Barcelona, CT 08003 Spain
    15 reviews

Can Paixano, often called "La Champagneria", is the most known Cava bar in the city and serves it's own refreshing bubbles. Located between the Born and Barceloneta districts, it is well-placed for an after-beach glass of fizz and a plate of Jamon or hot meat roll (drinks are not served at Can Paixano unless food is ordered - but prices ...

    El Xampanyet

Carrer de Montcada 22, 08003 Barcelona, Spain
    11 reviews

Great little local tapas bar in the middle of a fairly touristic area. If you can get a seat, hog it for hours and plug into a bottle of house xampanet. Great cured meats and excellent house boquerones (white anchovies).

Rambla de Sant Josep, 91, 08002 Barcelona, Spain

La Rambla may be a tourist trap, but it's worth braving the crowds here if only to slip into La Boqueria, one of Europe's most famous markets. Go hungry (and early) to nab one of the 14 stools at Pinotxo Bar, a pocket restaurant located just inside the market's main entrance. The restaurant is known for serving up flavorful tapas ...

    Los Caracoles

Carrer Dels Escudellers 14, Barcelona, CT 08002 Spain

A restaurant in the gothic quarter that is the real meaning of a "hidden gem". From first glance, it seems like a small average bar, but walk a little further and you'll find the host waiting to wind you through the back part of the restaurant to one of it's many unique and intimate dining rooms. The is a moderately ...

    Quimet & Quimet

Poeta Cabanyes, 25, Barcelona, CT 08004 Spain

Located on a small, out-of-the-way street, this tiny restaurant serves some of the best tapas in Barcelona. It gets crowded and counter/table space is in limited supply, but patience will be rewarded.

    Thaï Gardens

Diputació, 273, Barcelona, CT 08007 Spain
    3 reviews

From the moment you open the doors and skip over the wooden bridge inside this prestigious Barcelona restaurant, you know you’re on to something special. For 15 years Thai Gardens has been a heavenly haven just off the roaring Passeig de Gràcia - a dimly lit sanctuary of smouldering incense, candles, tropical plants, relaxing music and even some resident goldfish. ...

    Paradeta (La)

Plaça Comercial 7, Barcelona, CT 08003 Spain
    6 reviews

A bartender recommended this place to us when we were in El Raval. You order seafood by weight and they cook it up for you. Really fresh seafood at affordable prices. I recommend getting the Navajas (razor clams), shrimp, and the little small fried fish. Try out all the varieties! The one we went to was a few blocks from ...

    El Corte Inglés

Passeig de Gràcia, 18, Barcelona, Spain
    6 reviews

El Corte Ingles is a chain of hotels in Spain but I love the one here in Barcelona. It has 7 floors filled with all types of stuff from shoes, dresses, and the popular Spanish perfumes and colognes.
