    La bombeta

Good "tapas". You walk by the sea front to la Barceloneta and you can taste some popular meals. Don't lose "bometa" (potatoes filled with an a little spicy sauce).

    Hard Rock Café

If you don’t mind a bit of a wait to get in, the Barcelona branch of the Hard Rock Café is an easy option for those travelling with children (or just craving a satisfying burger). Its location, on the central Plaça Catalunya, is accessible, and the tables outside are perfect for people watching. The food itself is exactly what you ...

    Agua

What's summer in Barcelona without taking advantage of beachfront dining? Aqua is a great place to have a leisurely lunch washed down with sangria, all while watching the waves break.

    El Rovell del Born

Yes, it's upscale. And yes, there are probably more English and German speakers inside than Spanish speakers. But it's still worth visiting this tapas joint (serving tapas in the tradition of the Basque region, with small bites held onto bread with toothpicks) for the delicious, fresh food and friendly servers.

    Bar Central la Boqueria

Right by La Boqueria Market, perfect location, just off of Las Ramblas. The fact it's so close to the market ensures the fish is fresh. Their grilled fish was probably my highlight meal in Barcelona. Small place, very VERY busy, mostly local lunch crowd my time there (market vendors?) and few tourists, usually a good sign when choosing a meal ...

    Botafumeiro

By far the best seafood restaurant in Barcelona. Thei lobster is fresh and cooked to perfection, and I definetly recommend trying the percebes which are delicious. The decor is old school / fancy restaurant, with an oyster bar and tip top service. Prices are high but well worth it.

    BUN BO VIETNAM

Pop along to Bun Bo for Vietnamese flavors beside the Cathedral of Barcelona, Santa Caterina Food Market and Plaça Catalunya. The 9,90 Euros 3-course lunch menu with drink is served from 13:00 to 16:30, Monday to Friday and includes fresh and crispy noodles, curries and my personal favorite: crab wraps with sweet chilli sauce. If you find yourself in the ...

Sheer brilliance of the Adria brothers. I visited when it was only a bar and twice after it transformed into the eating experience paired with cocktails. Small space and served only even numbers (I hear). Service is what you expect at this level. Wear stretchy pants. Expect the best of Catalonia on a plate - lots of seafood. Would return ...

    Tapeo Anem de Tapes

    4.5
    3 reviews

    Dostrece Restaurant

    4.5
    3 reviews

Lunch at Dostrece is a feast of freshly cooked cafe-style plates with local produce, vegetarian options, fruity wine and yummy cakes (try the Pastel de Zanahoria - Carrot Cake - if it is on offer on that particular day). The restaurant is situated in the Raval district of the old city, beside La Rambla and close to La Boqueria market, ...

    Brunch and Cake

American-style eggs benedict are on offer at Brunch and Cake and with a location that’s central and accessible, you can’t go wrong. Plus, finish off your meal with a cupcake, their other specialty. A nice break from tapas!

    Restaurante Tapa Tapa

We ran into Tapa Tapa Arenas on the way back from the Magic Fountain. We weren't that hungry but we wanted to have some wine before we called it a night. The thing I liked about Tapa Tapa Arenas was their menu. There were pictures~ and clear spelling of the dish. We ordered some Fried anchovis which happens to be ...

    RESTAURANT 7 PORTES

    4.5
    3 reviews

If you're looking for a delicious paella, one that is good and not touristic, you may try it at this 19th century restaurant, 7 Portes. Although we were beach dressed with flip-flops and covered in sand, which was not so appropriate, they serviced us well. I felt more it is a dinner restaurant due to its classical high ceiling and ...

    El Vaso de Oro

Very close to Barceloneta Metro Station. Get there early before the locals if you want to be seated (that is 12:30) and order "un solomio con foie" (beef with foie gras), any of the other tapas and a beer. No credit card.

    El Quim de la Boqueria

I'm sure august wasn't the best moment to try el quim, because we were in the hurry, people were waiting behind out chairs for our seats, but the food and the "show" were great! A "must eat" in barcelona!
