Simply the best city of Europe. It has an amazing night life, beautiful places to go, and an awesome environment with beaches, restaurants and works from Gaudí. You can't miss it!

Barcelona is amazing! The city has a great vibe, the people are friendly, and it is filled with beautiful architecture from one of m favorites, Gaudi. If you're limited on time, I think three days would be fine here.

Ok first of all AWESOME FOOD, and for fellow travelers, do s but of research on monuments and the language so instead of taking a tour (for those who do) go on by yourself and dig deeper in the cultural side of Barcelona

A city that really needs no introduction, Barcelona is known worldwide! People flock here to experience the beach and nightlife, but there's much more to explore. I found Barcelona to be an incredibly romantic place to spend with someone special and the art scene is lovely. Go in low tourist season to enjoy the city more, or don't miss the summer music festivals!

    in one word: WOW!
In fact, before hitting Barcelona, I've already been well impressed by visiting Paris, Venice, Rome and Florence and speak good at my return, but not after visiting BARCELONA! It was the BEST destination for me of them all (so far). And why is that? It's because it is - a city on the beach. point. City+Beach=you can have or be anything you're expecting of this travel vacation. the City part with all the magnificent hype of shopping, museums, sight-seeing, restaurants and the feel of local's vibe living in this sunny city. And the beach, if you're looking to relax and have an ease-of-mind summer vacation. so it pretty sums up everything, and for me MIXITY is keyword for an amazing city. I instantly felt like I wanted to move here... don't wait, GO!

One of my favorite cities in the world. It has distinct neighborhoods with their own personalities. Incredible architecture, amazing food, great art in museums, galleries, and on the street, a vibrant nightlife, and to top it all off miles of beautiful beaches

Barcelona is an absolutely amazing city and is home to the best nightlife in western Europe. It is located in a unique region of Spain known as Catalonia that features its own language (derivative of spanish). However most everyone in Barcelona speaks good Spanish and English so it is easy to get around. I was only planning on staying for a few days to see all of the Antoni Gaudi architecture and hang out on the beach. But I ended up staying for 8 days because the beach and club scene was just to much fun to leave behind. There are numerous clubs located on the main beach near the metro stop "barceloneta" that are absolutely amazing. They are rather expensive but clubs like Opium and catfish are great any night of the week. There is also a huge club called razzmatazz that fits thousands of people and will sometime host electric music concerts. Also, make sure to visit the Ice Bar located on the main beach. Overall Barcelona has so much to see and do I would recommend planning to spend a lot of time there. Early June is the best time of the year to visit as Barcelona hosts a world famous music festival called "Sonar".

Oh my Gaudi! Barcelona is one of the coolest European cities. It has a laid back culture that other Western European cities often lack plus tapas, discotecas and gallerias that would impress even the most seasoned travelers.

I haven't been to much of Europe but Barcelona will always be a favorite no matter what else I see. I love spanish (and catalon) speaking countries, the attitude, the night life, the art, the people, everything was amazing and everyone was friendly. Can't wait to return!

Amazing city with so much culture, festivals, food, drinks, people, sights, sounds, and love. There are so much major attractions like Picasso Museum, Magic Fountain of Montjuic, Parc de la Ciutadella, Santa Maria Church, La Sagrada Familia, and more. But I love that almost every street you walk on, you will find small cafes or al fresco dining, gelaterias, shops, and bars. So much to see and do in the big beautiful city of Barcelona.

Everything you could ask for in a city. Beach, city, weather, food, nightlife, history. Seriously, what more could you want? I've been twice. The first time I went it was my first solo-vacation, and it was the perfect destination. To be able to chill out on the beach, but explore everything else BCN has to offer. It was the right choice. Second, for a hen-do with 14 ladies. Again, a totally different trip, but fit all of our needs. Clubs to go dancing, places to enjoy lots and lots of tapas. The beach to chill out on. And plenty to wander around to see and be a tourist. A top destination in my opinion.

Description

The beautiful Mediterranean city of Barcelona is often thought of as a hybrid between the more traditional Spanish peninsula and northern Europe, making Barcelona one of the most unique destinations worldwide. Even the distinctive language spoken here, Catalan, separates Barcelona from other Spanish cities. As it is a combination of old-Europe and the hustle and bustle of a modern metropolis, Barcelona offers travelers of any budget plenty of things to do. Some of the main attractions in Barcelona are products of one man – Antoni Gaudi, a modernist architect and designer of the distinct La Pedrera, the beautiful Parc Guell, and the famously incomplete Sagrada Familia cathedral, which has been under construction for 128 years. If it’s sunny, the Mediterranean beaches are always options for vacationers. Once the sun goes down, the cuisine in Barcelona is simply exquisite, as chefs here add new twists to traditional Spanish fare to create a taste all its own. Nightlife is also ... read more
extraordinary, with multi-story clubs highlighting the options. For accommodation, Barcelona offers a wide selection, ranging from hostels to high-end hotels. In Barcelona, the city where new ideas are required to succeed, there is never a shortage of activities for vacationers.
