I absolutely love pintxos, the Basque version of tapas, and this place is the closest thing to what San Sebastián is all about. There are usually four types of cider, mainly from Pais Vasco and Asturias (the best regions for Spanish cider) and a slew of Spanish beers as well. The pintxos are very tasty, but they aren't served on the honor system like they are in Spain - you would need to order them a la carte. However, check their Amigos de Pintxo schedule on their website. Every other Monday night, a guest chef teams up with Chef Ryan Poli to serve unlimited amounts pintxos for $20-25. The guest chefs have ranged from Paul Kahan to Dave Beran - and it's always a fun way to get bite sized versions of their cooking style. During these events, all the pintxos are laid out on the bar just like they would be in San Sebastián.

The name means "little bar" and it is connected to Taverita. You come here to have a cocktail and stand while you eat small plates called "pintos". The Spanish style food is carefully prepared and intended to be shared amongst friends. Friendly staff and big windows makes this a great spot to get together with friends.
