So, this is usually a place that you stay if you are on a sail cruise with Captain Cook Adventures. But they allow the option of just coming here directly and staying in the beach cabanas, and I couldn't be more glad I did. Except for a night or two when sail charters came in, I had the entire island of Drawaqa to myself - it's reefs, the manta rays, it's rolling dry forest-covered hills, and the delightful Fijians who work there. I was made to feel part of the family and enjoyed kava bowls with the Fijians every night. This place is remote and magical and I'd go back in a heartbeat.
