Stretching from the edge of Nederland to the mouth of Boulder Canyon, there are some pleasant walking trails on the north side for an easy stroll overlooking the water. Picnicking and fishing are also available, but sadly, no swimming or boating (yet). (The Boating On Barker initiative is working on the latter, and if they're successful, the sailing, kayaking, and windsurfing would be awesome.) The view from the dam end back up toward town is definitely quite picturesque.Recommended for:

Barker Reservoir is the body of water created by Barker Dam, just east of Nederland. This long, graceful body of water makes the approach to town rather picturesque. The Tungsten Trail leads down to the water's edge and along the south side of the reservoir.Recommended for:
