Consistently voted one of the best burgers in SF. Lots of different burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes and a kids menu. Don't miss the curly fries! Right around the corner, just a few blocks away. Eat on the front patio and watch the evening parade of people down 24th Street.

Barney's in the Marina has a burger for every taste, as well as a long list of french fry options to wow the kids. But don't miss the milkshakes -- thick, rich, and worth every calorie. There's also a location in Noe Valley for those not ready to brave Marina parking.

It's hard to go wrong when you go for the burger + beer combo, so yes the place is good, but not great.
The environment is nice, service is somehow slow and burgers are good... the down side is that waiting is long, prices are a bit on the higher end and will take a while for you to get your food (and in our case appetizers and burgers were ready at the same time).
And yes, the curly fries are awesome... but other than that, not sure why the place is so famous.
