Spring fed water at a constant 68 F makie this the place to cool ya heels after a night out in the 'World's Capital of Live Music.' The lush setting and adjacent dog park make this a killer place for people watching, catching a few rays and z's.Recommended for:

The best way to beat the heat in Austin. Barton springs is a massive, natural springs pool just outside the city. On a hot day, people come to congregate - swimming or just hanging out on the grass hill around the pool. The water is pretty cold - feels great on a hot day. Great for kids or adults. The best though is to go at night on a warm night!Recommended for:

Fabulous way to spend a hot day, water feels great. The grassy hillside is a great place for a picnic and the playgorund (outside the pool area) is huge and has areas for different aged kids.
If you are feeling the price is too steep you can swim just downstream for freeRecommended for:

Barton Springs is the Swimming pool of Austin, a must see when your in this great city. Located in Zilker Park, this park offers volleyball, hiking, greenbelt, playground, pic nic areas, a train ride through the park (great for kids), burger and snow cone stand. Barton Springs is a place to where all of Austin comes to relax and soak in the sunlight, while taking a dip in a natrual spring. 15min walk from the condo.Recommended for:
