Currently, the Bay Bridge Trail is a 8 mile round trip trail to nowhere on the new Oakland span of the Bay Bridge...but by 2015, the trail will connect Oakland/Emeryville with Yerba Buena Island creating a scenic walk/jog/bike trail that loops around both Yerba Buena and Treasure Island. For now, the best trail head for parking is at the Oakland Army Base but the Emeryville start is a more popular one even though it is 3ish miles from the start of the new section of the bridge.
