If you're into diving or snorkeling, Bayahibe is arguably the best place for either in the DR: the visibility is amazingly clear, the water is balmy, and there are a couple dozen healthy reefs nearby. There are a handful of dive shops in town and prices are pretty uniform--around $35/65 one/two tank dive excursions or $60 snorkeling trips.Recommended for:

This is a quiet little beach town away from the hustle and bustle. I did a video of the pizza wfo that faces the beach. Bayabe gets lively at night with local girls coming out to party. There are dive shops and one of the attractions is an island that is in a protected waters. Hotels are 20 to 50 per night. I like Bayahibe a lot.
