Beautiful property right on the beach with a view of the harbor. In a town known for more run-down beach motels, Beach House was a breath of fresh air. The building is new and done to very high standards, designed to feel very homey. The rooms are big (the beachside room had a separate living area and sleeping area). They also come with a kitchenette, which is especially nice when traveling with kids. The bed was a bit on the firm side for me, but still comfortable with nice linens. In the afternoon they have cheese and wine out for guests near the fireplace in the lobby. If you are looking for something a little nicer but don't feel like dropping $500/night at the Ritz, this is a great option.

We have been to the Beach House many times and love it! It is a great family place and the rooms have a king bed and pull-out couch. The rooms also have a refrigerator and little stove which is great for hungry kids. The hotel has a heated, outdoor pool and jacuzzi and is right on the beach. Also, right next to Sam's Chowder House --- a great place to enjoy some good seafood.Recommended for:Family Travelers

Lovely hotel. Great location, right on the beach. Simple facilities small pool. Very nice staff. My room was near the road and consequently quite noisey. If you want pea e and quiet invest in sea facing room.

This beachfront hotel is so cute and cozy. Most rooms have a fantastic ocean view and the balcony is perfect for catching a sunset. Great spot for a romantic weekend getaway that isn't too far or too close to home. Nice beaches for surfing and just a short walk from Pillar Point Harbor.

I went to Beach House for the first time in January 2012 for a company retreat and loved the location! Our meeting room was great with a beautiful view of the beach next to us. Lunch was catered by the hotel and very delicious. Staff was excellent. The hotel is clean and in a picturesque setting, and I would love to try and stay here sometime.

A mere 30 minute drive from San Francisco’s International Airport (SFO–newly outfitted with its super stylin’ Terminal 2, which definitely takes some of the sting out of cross continental air travel), is the relaxed, northern California oasis of Half Moon Bay. Something akin to a Hampton for the San Francisco weekenders, Half Moon Bay offers an easy but complete escape from real life. Famous, in part, as a destination for the Mavericks surf competition, embracing its namesake geography, Half Moon bay perfectly blends the laid-back, friendly surfer swing with a sophisticated beach home aesthetic.
Nowhere is this more felt than at the Beach House at Half Moon Bay. Its name might dissuade you–seeming perhaps too obvious or simply not individual. However, the Beach House embraces its breathtaking location as completely as its name implies. Perhaps they were too busy gazing at the ever-changing Pacific tides that crash on the sand right at their doorstep to come up with a more original name? Who cares!? Certainly not I, since I, too, was dazzled by the ocean’s proximity–especially while soaking in a jacuzzi overlooking the beach on a slightly chilly evening.
More than just a stunning location, the Inn offers guests a truly stunning experience over all. Most of the rooms have balconies or terraces overlooking the beach, and a good number of them are outfitted with fireplaces (to take out the chill of the evening, this is still quite close to San Francisco!). Plush, stylish furniture cozies you into the room and makes you feel instantly at home, and a breakfast of fresh baked goods and delicious West Coast coffee welcome you into each day you spend at the Beach House.
