Should I give away my great Cancun secret? This is on the best bay-facing beach--huge and wide, with tons of palm trees, and it's ridiculously cheap. But not cheap in a gross way. Cheap in a sensible way--like, you're not paying for shiny stuff you don't need. Every room is huge and has a nice patio or terrace, a fridge and comfy beds. Oh, and a/c and a TV. I think it was built as condos, which is why the rooms are so big. It's also in a great location relative to the rest of Cancun--walking distance to Punta Cancun, if you want to go to the main bars, etc, but close to downtown, and there's a bus stop just outside.

I enjoyed the tour a staff member gave us at this resort. He mentioned these used to be condominiums and that is why the rooms are larger and have such a homey feel. You can stay there for a week, month, or longer even if you make a deal with the owner for the length of your stay. There are kitchens, and refrigerators so they cater to the residential type guests, not party people. He said they even won’t accept the spring break partier types and try to keep the place quiet and clean for the guests. I really appreciated this and the feel at this resort for that same reason. The rest of Cancun can be such a wild and loud party place that it’s refreshing to be able to stay somewhere nice where it’s relaxing and mellow.
