Beer Belly is your neighborhood beer bar hidden behind I love Boba, so you might miss going down the street. This place serves a rotating beer selection so you'll never see the same menu twice. Food here is fatty lol Grilled Cheese with Maple Syrup, Duck Fat Fries with Duck on Top, and of course Bacon Mac and Cheese all tasty but an heart attack waiting to happen--you should totally go here.

Glutinous, rich specialty sandwiches and craft beer. Beer Belly may be hard to find (located behind I Love Boba shop in the back parking lot), but it's worth the trek to Koreatown.
We loved the famous duck fat fries topped with real duck meat. A gourmet twist on a popular bar and grill appetizer.
Check out the daily happy hour from 4 to 7PM for beer and food specials.
Parking is available in the adjacent bank parking lot.Recommended for:

Oh dear oh my. Their entire menu sounds heavenly. I mean, come on, just listen to this - "beer belly grilled cheese: quad-deck 4x4, cheddar, asiago, gruyere, goat cheese, applewood bacon, maple syurp." They make LEGIT bar food here.

I'm pretty shocked that such a gastropub exists in the heart of Ktown, situated right next to Iota Cafe and behind I <3 Boba. You won't find any hint of Korean-ness in this hipster-y bar.
The food. Wow. I mean, yes I was starving when I got here and we all know hunger is the best spice, but this food hit the spot harder than anything else I've had with hunger pangs. We had the Death by Duck, the Duck French Dip, the Defibrillator, and the Pork Belly chips.
Death by Duck: Duck fat fries with some duck stuff on top. Honestly, anything duck related is awesome to me. Love that bird. P.S. The ketchup that comes with it is so bomb.
Duck French Dip: So delicious. Perfectly cooked duck and the Au Jus complimented the sandwich supremely.
Defibrillator: Super good if you love cheese. There is a lot of it. Like a LOT. Also has french fries on top of the sandwich. We ate it with a fork and knife.
Pork Belly Chips: Our favorite dish out of all the amazing dishes. Pork belly was cooked to a crispy texture and came with garlic aioli that was to die for.
$2 Valet parking in the Saehan Parking lot right next to the location.
P.S. I didn't get to sample as many beers as I wanted to on account of getting extremely full. But they had a ton of IPA's on tap. This place is too legit

Is this real life? Craft beer with good pub bites? Are we really in Ktown?
One more question, do you have an iPhone in hand? You can control their jukebox by accessing Beer Belly's iPod play list. Download the Remote app (connect to their wifi) and you can pick from a large selection of songs as you grub or sip on your brew.
Beer Belly? Why. are. you. so. cool?
They have a pretty great selection of craft beers. I tried the Golden Road Burning Bush IPA, which I really enjoyed. If IPA is too bitter for you, they have a neat selection for XPA (Xtra Pale Ale), less of a bite and smoother ;)
Ordered food from the bar:
- Grilled Broccoli -
Exactly what it sounds like, with a gritty (in a good way) cheesy dipping sauce.
- Catfish and Chips -
My absolutely favorite that night, with a Shrimp Gumbo tartar sauce. You pour the vinegar mix into the brown paper bag and shake the crispy and buttery catfish.
Warning: Do NOT shake the hell out of this paper bag, because the wet vinegar drenches the bag, making a hole and creating a mess. (this did not happen to us. okay, it did)
- Steak & (duck fat) frites - http://www.yelp.com/biz_…
Steak was tender, but on the bland side. The duck fat fries were good, but nothing special about fries being fried in "duck fat." I really enjoyed the raspberry mustard dipping sauce.
Next time I will try their maple, bacon & Quad-Deck 4X4 grilled cheese.
I will also come back to master the art of properly shaking a catfish in a paper bag

Small but intimate place. The food is delicious, especially the duck fat fries... can't be good for you but awesome! The bar is small but they do have a nice unique beer selection given the size. It's a nice place to stop in for a drink and light food and the prices are very very reasonable.
