    Belfort (The Belfry)

    3 reviews

I have a soft spot for panoramic views which requiere a good old-fashioned climb of narrow stairs, so Belfort was a must on my visit to Ghent. And it should be for everyone, really. The views are the best in Ghent and if you don't want to climb all those stairs, there is an elevator available. But most importantly, it ...

Fun place to visit. Don't plan on spending an entire day here. Worth it to take the ride up but if you're traveling on a budget I'd pass. Crazy escalators in the spheres that reminded me of Space Mountain

Taking a boat tour of the famed canals in Brugges is an absolute must. Drivers are multi lingual and very knowledgeable - allows you to see the ancient city from the same perspective its early inhabitants did.

When you are in Brussels, you should stop in that bar. Not for the prices (it's a touristic place) but for the most amazing menu I've ever seen. They have more than 2000 beers.

    Pot au Lait

Smack in the center of the city, yet hidden down an ivy-covered alleyway, the Pot au Lait (Jug of Milk) is waiting to be stumbled upon. Though it could technically be called a student bar because of its proximity to the university, there is a good mix of ages and people return long after they graduate. While what the bar ...
