    The Great Blue Hole

    4.5
    11 reviews

A natural wonder, the Blue Hole is an amazing and scary dive spot. Located 60 miles offshore, it is an "almost perfectly circular hole approximately one quarter of a mile (.4 km) across" and 480 feet (145 m) deep. It's named the Blue Hole because the depth of water gives it such an intense blue color. From an aerial view ...

    Lamanai

    11 reviews

I thought Lamanai was awesome. I'm not a history buff but I can appreciate spectacular ruins when I see them. Plus, when I was there, there weren't too many other people which added a very cool element to it. If you go, make sure to climb to the top of the High Temple for a great view. Also, a guide ...

    The Belize Zoo

    4
    8 reviews

The Belize Zoo isn't at all like the typical zoo you might be imagining. Home to tons of animals that were either injured or orphaned (and thus wouldn't have survived in the wild), the Belize Zoo does all it can to make these animals' new environments feel like the habitats nature intended. Monkeys, for example, aren't in cages - the ...

    Tobacco Caye

You can walk from one end of the caye to the other in about a minute. It is mainly just an outpost for diving. There are some great reefs, and walls to dive in the area, but otherwise you are basically just on a sandbar a ways out from anything else. All the pathways are made of conch shells which ...
