Located directly on Mission Beach, Belmont Park has a number of rides, a surfing machine, and plenty of places to grab a bite to eat (carnival style). The views are fantastic, and this is definitely catering towards children of all ages.

When I think of the beach in San Diego, I think of Belmont Park. I frequented this area as a kid and enjoyed riding the roller coaster during the summer. Good children's activities, an arcade, surf shops, and plenty of food carts.

The park is fun for kids with the carnival rides and games including the Wave House, and for adults/teens it's an area where there are always a lot of people. There are a couple of bars/restaurants and a great beach boardwalk to walk/skate/bike/people watch.

Belmont Park is a fun family friendly amusement park in Mission Beach that offers free parking and free admission. There are both traditional and modern rides and games - something to suit everyone. Ride The Giant Dipper or The Beach Blaster, play mini-golf, take a turn getting wet on The Flow Rider and The Flow Barrel, shop for beach gear at the local shops and kiosks, and grab a bit to eat at one of the many fantastic eateries.

Belmont Park is a neat little amusement park that has fun rides for the kids including a historical wooden roller coaster called the Giant Dipper. There are some restaurants and shopping here too all a short bike ride away from the condo.

the historic seaside amusement park opened in 1925 and has the famous Giant Dipper roller coaster, as well as stores, arcade games, restaurants, souvenir shops, etc. Walk south. www.belmontpark.com.

Belmont is six blocks south of our beach house. The Big Dipper roller coaster is the main attraction, although there are other fun rides like a great carousel. Lots of restaurants, too.

It's like a smaller version of the Boardwalk in Santa Cruz. Less things to do, but yet new things that Santa Cruz Boardwalk don't have. I liked the mirror maze, the rope course, and tron-like ride. The wooden roller coaster is so bumpy. They have an artificial wave rider/surfing thing there that you can purchase to do. The beach is not that great. Overall, it was still pretty cool to check out. The park gets 3 stars, but the time there with my lovee is 5 stars & more. :)

This amusement park is a classic in Mission Beach, specially during summer. Just next to Mission Bay Park and Wave House.

Growing up in San Diego, Belmont Park was the closest thing we had to a "theme park" since at the time there was no Legoland or all the rides at Sea World. I think what I love about Belmont Park mainly is more based in nostalgia than anything else. :)

A mini amusement park along side the beach, complete with all the essential theme park must-haves; a roller coaster, carousel, arcade games, oversized stuffed animals, candy apples, popcorn and hotdogs. What could be better than climbing up the roller coaster and gazing out over the sparkling blue ocean before plummeting down below? Nothing!

This is like Santa Monica Pier, with rides and games. However, Belmont Park has a wave pool where you can catch people surfing on the waves, which is pretty fun to watch. Grab a chocolate dipped banana and take a stroll along the beach.
