Hands down one of my favorite lunch sandwich spots in la! Surrounded by art galleries, I always feel so relaxed and at peace when I enjoy my lunch here. Chicken pesto sandwich is phenomenal!Recommended for:

Bergamont Station is one of my favorite places in LA; the perfect place to go when you're itching to do something but don't feel like spending money. I'm surprised at how few people know about it still because it's such a gem! Basically, its an art complex comprised of 30 or so diverse galleries all featuring new art. Check out their open houses when all the galleries open their doors and serve free wine and snacks!Recommended for:

I love the variety of galleries here. Some are ridiculous. Some are sublime. And it's so easy. Park and walk from gallery to gallery. When you get hungry or thirsty there's a nice little cafe. Rest and bask in the sun on one of the outdoor benches. If you need to shop and you can't drop $13,000 on some excellent art, then stop in at the bookshop or Hiromi Paper for something more affordable but still special.Recommended for:

Super cool area with super cool art. I love what they have done with this car, it just shows how art can be interpretted in such a unique way because the unique aspect is what gives the masterpiece that charm! They really made this art grand by the way they made it such a looker for those just passing by. Next time if you are around this part of town, I definently recommend swinging by this station to check out some great art made by great people. The parking is abundant and free. That itself is also just amazing because where else in LA can you say that? And if you happen to need some guidance, there is a large map in the middle of the station grounds that shows which gallery is located in which location. I really do recommending checking this place out with a friend, going through the warehouses, and then going to the cafe for some relaxing enjoyment of life.

After a failed attempt to visit MOCA (closed on Tuesdays!) we came here to get our culture fix. Fantastic artists in residence art studios minutes from the more heavily trafficked Santa Monica Promenade.

I would say that the Santa Monica Museum is one of the most underrated museums in the area. They mount world-class exhibitions and add an incredible cultural contribution to Los Angeles’ art scene. Admission is by donation.
