Oh Bergdorf Goodman, a fashionista's dream come true. Seven floors of designer goodies to buy or drool over. Take a stroll through the second level and admire the big name designers: Chanel, Dolce & Gabanna, Dior... Or mosey up a little higher for more contemporary brands. Your heart might break a little at the price tags but it's worth the experience!Recommended for:

This sophisticated midtown mainstay is the ne plus ultra ladies-who-lunch shopping destination, complete with its own restaurant and an accommodating café. The stately building features eight floors of pure designer bliss, including spacious in-store boutiques from couture stars like Narciso Rodriquez, Chloe, and Jean Paul Gaultier on floors two through four—all furnished with swank, well-appointed dressing rooms complete with Central Park views. On five, younger fashion sybarites gravitate toward excellent selections of mid-priced lines like Marc by Marc Jacobs, DKNY, and Theory, and rack after rack of shoes. On the main floor, celebrity divas in dark glasses—and soon-to-be well-coiffed Upper East Side ladies en route to John Barrett's ninth floor salon—browse the extensive accessories department, with buttery leather bag upon bag from designers like Nancy Gonzalez, Chanel, and Prada.

Women's shoe heaven. I find the men's store to be a little too tired and conservative. Unless you are suiting up for Wall Street or a polo match, the boys will do better at Barney's or Saks.Recommended for:

My number one choice for everything from shoes to Christmas ornaments, Bergdorf Goodman is a fantastic store and my favorite of all the big B's. Dog-friendly in every area of the store except for the restaurants, BG hosts a canine fashion show during Fashion's night out and although I don't think chauncey would care for such a thing, it's a pretty entertaining event.

The Bergdorf Goodman luxury goods store moved to this location in 1928, building this beautiful, Beaux-Arts style building. As nice as this building is, it's a shame that they had to demolish the historic Vanderbilt Mansion in order to make way for the new Bergdorf Goodman building.Recommended for:
