    White Trash Fast Food

Am Flutgraben 2, 12435 Berlin, Germany
    16 reviews

Loud, bonkers and a good laugh. It's not just a restaurant, but also a tattoo parlour and DJ lounge. If you fancy something a little bit different, it's worth going for the experience. You may have a bit of a wait, though - even with a reservation.

    The Barn

    Auguststraße 58, Berlin, Germany

All of the hipsters were right! This place is divine. It had delicious coffee and nibbles - just a shame it's such a tiny spot.

THE place in Berlin to get a Currywurst. It is a Berlin institution (having opened in 1960 in East Berlin, though the family sold sausages in the area in the 30s) and should not be missed.

    Clärchens Ballhaus Restaurant

    Auguststraße 24, 10117 Berlin, Germany
    7 reviews

Ballroom dancing and restaurant. One of the last remainders of the old Eastern Berlin times... the interior is practically untouched since 40-50 years. Good German kitchen and you can watch tango dancers, swing dancers and other types of dances, depending on the day. Tuesdays are recommended.

    Mustafa's Gemüse Kebap

Berlin has the best Turkish food north of the Hellespont, and Mustafa's (in Kreuzberg) has the best kebabs in Berlin. Super-cheap (about 3 euros), super-delicious. Lines for lunch or evening drunk-time can be hella long.

A Berlin institution, the Cafe Einstein in Schöneburg has been around since the late 70s (the building was erected in the late 1800s and was host of various cafes and restaurants over the decades). Französische Straße 47, Berlin, BE 10117 Germany

Some German co-workers took me here when I was visiting on work a few years ago - and it was awesome. They are known for their schnitzel - which I kid you not is so big it spills over the edges of the plate. Apparently this is where German celebrities go to eat schnitzel, and I understand why. It's also ...

Unter den Linden 42, Berlin, Germany

Very nice - if a bit expensive - cafe on Unter den Linden. Still, it beats Starbucks. Note: This is not *the* Cafe Einstein; that cafe is located in Schöneburg.

    Restaurant und Bar Keyser soze

Tucholskystr. 33, 10117 Berlin Mitte, Germany
    3 reviews

A neat little down-home restaurant with cute, unique woodcrafted chairs, stools and tables for seating, this is a great place to get home-style, traditional German food, and high-quality tasty bites. The price is about average for what you'd find in Berlin for a mid-level restaurant. A fun place to sit for drinks, and the food is delicious too.
