Its big and imposing, but rather boring on the outside. Only the tower is nice. The inside was destroyed in the war and is now a kind of museum. But it is all grey concrete with not much atmosphere.

One of the two churches standing on the lovely Gendarmenmarkt square, this was built for the French Protestants in Berlin back in the 18th Century. Inside contains the Hugenottenmuseum with a history of the community and church. It was bombed one Sunday during a service and remained in ruins until the government of the DDR saw fit to renovate in ...

    German Museum of Technology Berlin

I actually was dragged here by my boyfriend, who likes anything that has to do with planes. I can happily say by the end of the visit, it was me trying to stay for "just a few more minutes." This museum tracks transportation from before trains to modern day jets. It's a very fun spot to take kids.

    Prenzlauer Berg

My favourite district of Berlin. The former grim East German 'Kiez' (neighbourhood) has undergone gentrification since the fall of the wall and is now filled with 'yummy mummies'. Prenz'lberg has a lot to offer: the cafés of Kastanienallee and Kollwitzplatz, the open space of Mauerpark, with it's not-to-be-missed Sunday Flohmarkt (flea market); boutique shops along Schönhauser Allee (make sure you ...

Ahhhh! LIQUID-DROM! that's how I pronounce it anyways. My friend is going to kill me for reviewing this because it doesn't need any more hype or tourists...but this was the most insane experience I went to. It's under 20 EU to get in for 2 hours, but this covers the saunas, the hot tubs, and the main salt-water pool. It's ...

    Schwules Museum

    5
    4 reviews

The small "Gay Museum" bills itself as one of the only museums in the world dedicated to LGBT/gay/queer artists. There's a small cafe in the lobby and the art hanging in the museum is quite varied. Worth a visit for the novelty — and to support LGBT causes.
