Sometimes called Berlin Cathedral, this is Berlin's largest Protestant church, so not a cathedral. There is an admission charge to enter. The interior is heavily ornate Baroque. You can walk up to the dome.Recommended for:

The Berlin Cathedral was constructed between 1894 and 1905. It's the largest church in Berlin and serves the members of the Evangelical belief. With its Neo-Renaissance style architecture, it's a top tourist attraction and a in my opinion a must see.Recommended for:

Built in 1905, the Berliner Dom was left in ruins following WWII. The DDR agreed to its refurbishment throughout the 70s and 80s. The cathedral is absolutely beautiful, and offers splendid views if you want to climb up the dome. Worth a view for the history and its beauty - even if you're not a fan of old churches.Recommended for:

A very impressive building both outside and inside. Richly decorated with statues and paintings. i would not describe it as beautiful, rather more imposing. This was build to show the might of the German empire. Go up to the stairs to the first floor, where you have a better view & photo opportunities.Recommended for:

Berliner Dom is the colloquial name for the Evangelical (i.e. Protestant) Oberpfarr- und Domkirche (English analogously: Supreme Parish and Collegiate Church. Located on Museum Island it is worth a visit and also sitting in the gardens people watching.

With its striking dome of the mighty Berlin Cathedral in the center of Berlin is hard to miss. As a former court cathedral and the Cathedral of the Hohenzollern dynasty under Emperor Wilhelm II in 1894 to 1905, was rebuilt. Today, above all, the baptism and marriage church, the imperial staircase, the Hohenzollern crypt, the Cathedral Museum and of course the preaching church with its impressive dome are worth a visit.

The Berliner Dom was really impressive, we actually ended up here because there was a really long queue at the Fernsehturm tower it had cheaper entry prices and the architecture was stunning and you can walk all the way around the top of the dome giving you great views of the city.

Only the beggars in the park were really annoying. They asked for money to buy food. We gave them a sandwich instead, but they refused that and looked very arrogant. Sometimes they even became angry.. So don't give them any money, cause the're not gonna buy food from it.. It would be a waste.
