Allegro Hotel is just alright. It is priced relatively well, but you can find better, especially for something so out of the way.
It is located near Nation in the 12th arrondissement, which, although not completely devoid of activity, is not a neighborhood known for its attractions.
Though it is a chain hotel, effort was made for the décor, but it is a very fine line between funky and kitschy.
My opinion is that this place is fine if you can’t find anything else, but there are much, much better options.

As I entered this hotel I couldn’t help thinking that this is how I would like my apartment to look! The lobby and breakfast area are full of black, white and fuchsia velvet and leather chairs, on the tables are orchids in stainless steel vases, a silvery grey and white flower motif is found in the carpets and on some of the walls and everything seems to sparkle thanks to the lighting and the abundance of vintage style molded mirrors. The rooms are a little more simple but equally classy.
The downside is the location as it is a little far from the center of Paris (closest métro is Picpus) but across the street there is a Franprix and on your way to the métro you will find some restaurants. If you like walking, the Promenade Plantée (which runs from the Bois de Vincennes to Bastille) is also just down the street.

Excellent hotel, very clean, comfortable and perfectly located to see the wonderful sites Paris has to offer, large bathroom, the furnishings are nothing spectacular but the added bonus of a free car park at the hotel is a great addition, children under two stay free, free wifi, nice continental breakfasts.Recommended for:Family Travelers

Hotel Allegro is a comfortable business hotel in the eastern part of Paris. The Nation area can be a bit dodgy in the nighttime, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel for tourist coming to Paris for the first time for sightseeing. The hotel is basically far from all the main tourist attractions, although there is the lovely Château de Vincennes and the big park if you keep going towards east and cross the péripherique.
The hotel has been renovated nicely and the staff is very helpful here with excellent English.
It's great hotel great for business travellers, but the location is too remote for tourists, unless you want to spend half your time in the metro.Recommended for:Business Travelers
