The BW University Hotel is the perfect place for a families on college visits, or parents of students at BU or BC in town to see their kids. It's also not a bad option for Boston tourists since it's pretty close to the greenline and there is ample, FREE parking--a rarity in Boston. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to visit Boston, but is nervous about driving in the city, as the surrounding streets are pretty easy to navigate. You just have to understand that you're not going to walk out your door and be in the thick of things, and that the city center is about a 25 minute ride away (on a good day). I don't have much to say about the rooms, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I found them to be pretty standard--clean, comfortable and spacious.Recommended for:

This Best Western used to be called the Terrace Inn, but now it's called the University Hotel. That name change makes sense, given its relative proximity to both Boston University and Boston College. The hotel (as well as both universities) is right off the green line, but it's a bit far from the city center. It has a bit of a smoky smell when you walk into the lobby, but the guest rooms feel very clean and comfortably sized. There are lots of "freebies" here too: free Wi-Fi, free breakfast, and free parking on site. My only complaint was that all the rooms were only accessible from the outside, which definitely gives it more of a motel lodge feel -- not to mention the fact that there wouldn't be any warm hallways to walk through in the winter.Recommended for:
