What a meal! Probably the nicest greeting my stomach could have gotten in Dublin. Full on Irish breakfast and had a great view of Grafton street. It's has great decor and a friendly staff!

A cafe I stumbled across in Grafton Street. When I visited, there was a free chocolate with every coffee!

A Dublin institution, Bewley's is the perfect place to spend a few hours people watching from the upstairs balcony and windows, and observing the hours go by over a cup or pot of good coffee and a slice of cake. Always popular, always busy with tourists and local folk alike it's easy to see why it can be hard to find a seat!

On the same site since 1927. There was a public outcry when it closed down a few years ago and magically it reappeared. Somewhat of an institution, it was mentioned in James Joyce's 'Dubliners' and was the haunt of many literary and artistic figures such as Sean O'Casey, Patrick Cavanagh and Samuel Beckett. Not quite the same as long ago but still a place of character in which to drink your coffee.

Right in the heart of Grafton Street you'll enjoy a full Irish Breakfast or just possibly a scone and some wonderful coffee. Do try to go to the back room and check out the beautiful stained glass windows.

Bewley's cafe has been on Grafton street since 1927. A great stop on Grafton street, and a welcome break from all the hustle and bustle in the city centre. So if you want a latte or an espresso do drop by.

The café is a very old café in Dublin. The café itself is not the most individual but still ok. But what I really love about it, is the Café Theater upstairs where I had great evenings!

Description

Ireland's largest coffee and tea importer, roaster and supplier has operated a cafe right in the heart of Dublin in 1927. Bewley's Grafton Street, also called Bewley's Oriental Cafe, is a local landmark, serving some 1 million customers a year. The six stained glass windows in the coffee shop are worth a second look: they were created by artist Harry Clarke a few years before his death. The cafe also contains a small stage and hosts "lunchtime drama" most days of the week.
