This is one of those overlooked gems in World Showcase at EPCOT. It's the easiest place to score a reservation since it's so huge! The food is, shall we say, less than authentically German, but no matter. It's tasty and it's an all you can eat buffet so even the hungriest in your party will be able to fill their tummy. If you don't like German food there's plenty of "safe" choices for your unadventurous eaters -- macaroni and cheese, roasted chicken, salad and more.
Make sure you check the entertainment schedule before making your reservation. You'll want to dine when it's showtime. A fun German band puts on a short show that's loud and a heck of a lot of fun! Again, this place is LOUD! It's NOT the spot for a quiet, romantic dinner! Lunch shows and dinner shows are the same, but you'll pay less per person at lunch time. Kids seem to love this place too.
The dining area is set up to look like a real German village. It's beautiful! You will be seated at large, communal tables just like in Germany so if you are an introvert, you have been warned. We've eaten here at least a dozen times and we've only been seated at a "dud" table twice. If everybody orders beer, you'll have a lot more fun! The biggest disappointment here is their pretzel bread. It's the same junk you'll find all over Disney World. I would've hoped the German restaurant would have REAL pretzels. Such a bummer.Recommended for:

The sights, sounds, and smells of Oktoberfest permeate this communal-style seated restaurant in (where else?) Epcot’s Germany pavilion. The buffet showcases traditional favorites like pork schnitzel and bratwurst alongside Bavarian cheesecake and hand-pulled apple strudel. Throw back a few steins of beer, and you may even feel a sudden urge to polka.

Not the top of the World Showcase restaurants, but you get a very authentic feeling. Emphasis on Beer, Sausage and Ompah music. Family style dining on large Biergarten tables creates a very social atmosphere. The preteens love the interactive dancing and singing, teenagers are a little more reluctant to participate.Recommended for:

You don't have to be fluent in German to know what this restaurant is.
Though I'm not traditionally a fan of buffet restaurants, I do believe that they can be a great way to explore different foods that one wouldn't normally order off of a menu. Epcot is the perfect place for this type of buffet experimenting.
Great atmosphere here (honestly - where does Disney fail miserably in the atmosphere department?). Great live music. ICE COLD German beer. God I love Epcot!
