There's a lot to do in Big Bear whether it's a snowing or not! Biking, hiking, photography, skiing, fishing, water sports, relaxation.. A great place to head for a long weekend or to rent a cabin.

Love coming here for a quick getaway from LA's heat and noise. It feels so peaceful here in the morning and it gets so quiet at night. I love how the snow is so soft in the residential areas. That is when you know that the snow is legit(: Everytime I come here, me and my friends rent out someones cabin so most of the time I spend here is in the cosy home or at the front of the house building snowmen and having snowball fights. The lake is also a great place to check out while here

A beautiful mountain/lake resort - plenty to do in both summer and winter, although peak seasons will be overrun with tourists. The best way to stay would be to rent a cabin (or stay at a friend's, like we did!) so you can get the most out of your stay. Our wooden cabin had a deck shaded by pine trees, so nostalgic I couldn't get over it. Go to the lake for a myriad of activities, the town for crafts and clothes shopping, find an old rancher-style breakfast early in the morning (where the coffee is delicious), or hit up the nearby toboggan runs for fun in all weather.
