Seems like a must-see - swathes of tourists are always gathered outside it. It is attached to the Houses of Parliament, so you could see them as well. Whitehall is just next to it - go and see Number 10, then head on down to Trafalgar Square and a billion other great places. Also on the same square as Westminster Abbey, where Will and Kate got married and where some other slightly less famous kings and queens are buried.

The iconic image of London. Join the millions who have had their picture taken outside this most famous landmark. Being in front of Big Ben really says, "Yes, I'm in London now."

Everyone needs a photo of Big Ben! An interesting fact, this tower is not called "Big Ben". It's actually the Elizabeth Tower after Queen Elizabeth II. Big Ben is the name of the BELL inside the tower, who is named after Sir Benjamin Hall, the first commissioner of works. Learned this while on the River Thames cruise :) But you can also google it!

Iconic London, and close to so many other points of interest. The tower itself was more elaborate than I expected, and standing beneath it when it chimed the hour was a very cool experience.

The British Parliament building is one of the world's most iconic buildings. Big Ben refers to the large clock tower that dominates the building and overlooks the Thames. The building is open to visitors, and if you are a fan of legislation you can even sit in on parliamentary debates.

As iconic as it is big, this famous clock tower is the most recognizable symbol of London. It's a beautiful photo subject, and lights up at night with the houses of Parliament for gorgeous views across the Thames.

Big Ben is the famous clocktower attached to the equally famous Houses of Parliament in London. It's a stand-out structure that is easily visible from various spots around the area. I found myself unable to stop taking photos of it.

welcome to the most known clock in the world. I think it is simply due to that ridiculous scene from European Vacation http://youtu.be/iAgX6qlJEMc
I definitely enjoyed being able to see this site and parliament as well. The carvings and statue work adorning it are quite awesome to see, but in the end its just a bell tower clock.
It is fun to look at... but to be honest, I wish I could have climbed it like spider man or gone base jumping off of it! lol... it is a site worth beholding though, but it never had the impact that many other things have had for me.
