    California is amazing in that so many different ecosystems are so close to each other. The Big Sur river runs along 101 for a bit, but it's also not too far from the beach. It's good for hiking, splashing, and if the water level is high enough, tubing.

    Beautiful, wild, clear water river full of steelhead trout and summer fun. It's provides a 'center' to the Big Sur area and is great for swimming, lounging, fishing, tubing and riverside reflection and arts. California wilderness at it's best.
