Hang out for students at John Cabot University and other tourists who are tiring of genuine Italian food. It's not horrible, but it's basically a fast food pizza joint with decent service.Recommended for:

This is one of my favorite places in Rome. Spacious but cozy and upscale but laid-back, it's the perfect atmosphere for a casual drink or a more special-occasion meal. The beer selection is unparalleled, including unusual Belgian brews, microbrews, and imports from the States I haven't seen anywhere else. And the food holds its own too. The pizza is great, but the appetizers are even better, so save room for lots of 'em.Recommended for:

The pizza and beer get great reviews but the atmosphere here is brutal. Definitely not romantic Rome. Feels more like something you'd find in Lan Kwai Fong or the Latin Quarter.Recommended for:

From what I understand, Bir & Fud was opened by the same folks as Open Baladin, and they have some sort of partnership with Gabriele Bonci of Pizzarium with their food items. This means you get some of the best beer and pizza in Rome in one convenient Trastevere spot.
It's a comfortable spot and the service is friendly enough. The beer selection is respectable and it's nice to people watch from the outside tables.Recommended for:
