Blakes Hotel in the residential South Ken neighborhood in London is absolutely chic and wonderful. The service here is fantastic while each of its rooms are unique. ooh, the 007 room. Why were we so lucky!? drinks at the Chinese Room, a must, we felt like international fabulousness hanging with other fabulousness.

Everything from the plush red decor to the freestanding bathtub made my room feel more like a boudoir than a place where one stays on a business trip. The food is pretty good, service is excellent. Location is good for hiding away, but it's a bit far from most things and overall, this is a better venue for an illicit affair than a work trip.
The Hastens bed was amazing.

Found tucked between the streets of Chelsea and South Kensington, this 5 star hotel is the definition of opulence. Designed by superwoman Anushka Hemple you'd expect nothing less. From the word go this black building is an orgy of east n west, and we love it. You arrive into the lobby, but look left and make your way downstairs where there is no obvious sign of it being a hotel, other than the fine service.
Head to the bar: the cocktail menu is great, but if it’s not for you then the girls with the trendy haircuts or the barman will be more than happy to offer you something more to your liking. We loved the Wake Up Call (Blake's take on an Espresso Martini), The Matt Bianco with its layer of Absinthe (for those feeling brave like warrior), and the Chinese Mojito which looks like the overrated favourite but it tastes a hundred times better.
The Asian invasion doesn't stop at your surroundings, it continues into the drinks and dim sum so tuck in, but equally try a western sandwich. It's a great place, but you'd hope so with their prices, but get over them, get dinner, stay the night and deal with it in the morning.Recommended for:Luxury Travelers

There's something deliciously naughty about Anoushka Hempel's first hotel venture, nestling in a polite South Kensington street. If you were called Jagger, Bowie or one of their mates, chances are you behaved awfully badly here during the 1970s. Judging by the interior, which can only be described as bordello chic - why not?
